chapter 4

hello u beautiful people i hope u are all having a lovely day. i've written every chapter so far in the same day but now i'm exhausted. i'm gonna try and get this one out because i feel like i need to. LOVE U GUYS
Vinnie's pov
Unfortunately I didn't get to take Makayla out today to show her around LA. In the afternoon, Alex needed me for vlog with Micheal and Calvin.

I ended up eating absolute shit at our homemade skate park, I started making my way up the house

I was covered in scrapes and road rash, especially on my face considering I ate the concrete many times

I didn't think anybody was home, Thomas texted me saying "a bunch of us are going to Chases" so I assumed Makayla would be going since she hadn't met him yet

I walked upstairs but almost bumped into someone as I turned into the hallway

"Shit sorry" I mutter until I hear a very concerned "what the fuck happened to you" from Makayla, she's examining my face and body while holding my arms at my sides

"I fell skating it's nothing" I said trying to get out of her grasp

She has good grip

"Come on" she says dragging me into her bathroom

She grabs a safety kit from underneath her sink and starts wiping the blood off of the cuts

She's being so gentle

She grabs a cotton pad and some weird liquid and looks me in the eyes

"This might sting a bit im sorry" she starts wiping the cuts on my face

I clench my hand into a fist, with her free hand she grabs mine and lets me squeeze her hand

Once she's done she puts some bandages on the more severe cuts and looks at me again

"These are gonna take a bit to heal, everyday you need to put more of this on your cuts" she hands me the little bottle

The way she's looking at me right now.. holy fuck

I can't stop looking at her.. her lips

It's silent

I can't help but start to lean in, she starts leaning in too

Our lips are almost touching

"HELLOOOO WE ARE HOMEEE" we both turn our heads

Fucking alex.

She clears her throat, hands me the serum and walks out. I follow after her

We both walk downstairs to see everyone who went to Chases house, including Chase

"What's good man" I say hugging him "not much, Thomas wanted me to come meet Jett's sister" he says looking past my shoulder

"What's up I'm chase" he says walking over to her "hi Chase it's so nice to meet you, i'm Makayla" she says

"Oh I'm aware, you're even more beautiful in person you know that?" He says

I feel a pang of jealousy, I can't witness him trying to flirt with Makayla for one more second

They started talking about his music but I stopped listening

I went back upstairs and to my room

"Hi Hera" I say laying down on my bed, she curls up on my stomach and I start scrolling through TikTok

I hear loud laughter coming from downstairs, I decided to play valorant for the rest of the night

Makayla's pov
It was nice to meet Chase, I had listened to his music and followed him on social media for quite some time

A little while later after Chase and I got to know each other, and after some painful flirting from Chase which was not returned. I noticed vinnie wasn't around

hm weird

Chase didn't stay for long, he said he had to fly out somewhere early tomorrow so we said our goodbyes and good luck wishes to him.

I headed upstairs to get ready for bed and I saw the serum for vinnie's cuts on my bathroom counter

I left my room and knocked on his door

"Who is it?" he asks

"It's mick, I have something for you" I say

"Come in" he yells

I walk in to see him sitting at his desk once again shirtless

Does this dude ever wear a fuckin shirt?

"Here" I say placing the serum on his desk

We haven't really talked about what happened earlier but do we need to? What if it makes things awkward and confusing between us?

I walk out his door closing it behind me

I walk into my bedroom and stare at the air mattress sitting on the floor

It's fucking deflated are you kidding me?

I make my way downstairs and see Alex, Thomas and Mia standing around the kitchen

"Hey Alex my air mattress deflated do you know where the pump is?" I ask

"Shit sorry Makayla I let Larray borrow it and he's at his house right now" he says sincerely

"Oh that's okay, thanks anyway. I think I brought enough fuzzy blankets to make a bed on the floor" I say until I hear a snicker come from the kitchen

I turn around to see mia laughing

"What's so funny?" I ask her

"The fact that you don't even get your own bed" she laughs

"I don't get what's funny about that" I say

What is this chicks problem?

"You have literally been so annoying since you got here I don't even know why we let you stay here" she says "at least now you can sleep on the floor like the little dog you are, following Jett around like a lost puppy all day"

Unfortunately, Alex and Thomas aren't coming to my rescue, they're both stood jaw dropped just as much as I am

"Maybe because she's Jett's sister and if I'm correct, Thomas and Alex made the decision to let her stay. not you" I turn around to see Vinnie leaning against the doorway

"I don't think you were included in this conversation Vinnie" she snaps

"When it involves my best friends sister I think I am involved" he says crossing his arms

"It's not my fault Makayla's been a bitch since she got here" she says

"Im sorry? I have been nothing but nice to you since I got here, I don't understand your problem" I say

I decide to walk away, completely uninterested in anything else Mia has to say

I walk outside and walk down to the pool

I take off my socks and dip my feet in the hot tub

There was crickets chirping, it was calming

I don't understand Mia's problem though, I didn't think I did anything wrong

idk how to feel about this i have redone the ending 3 different times but i'm too lazy to change it again.
