Staying at home

Smith's POV:
Trott said we could just stay at his place for the day if we wanted to. We weren't aloud to look at screens, so Teneille was sneaky and just turned down her brightness so if any of them wanted to see if we were still alive they could. We had been just sitting there for about 2 hours just talking and complaining about how much my eye and her lip and ribs hurt. We just sat there and then had nothing to talk about really and she noticed something I really didn't want her to. "Smith are you ok," she asked.
"Besides a very sore eye yeah I'm fine."
"No that's not the sad face of someone's just been beaten up it's like a lonely sad face."
"How can you tell that," I was generally curious.
"Cos I have made that face a few times before I met you guys."
"Oh," I said and twiddled my thumbs.
"So what's up, I promise I won't tell anyone, pinky swear," she held out her pinky I took it with mine and shook it.
"Ok well I saw this girl in a café and she seemed really lonely so I went up and talked to her, she barely said anything she just nodded and occasionally laughed but then a guy showed up and practically dragged her out and she just let him." Teneille just looked at me with so much sadness. "Did you get her name," she asked like she might know that girl. "Samantha, why."
"She was like my little sister when I was in the foster home and I still kept contact with her all throughout school and everything she went to my school and high school, but when we finished high school she got a boyfriend and after a year he asked to marry her she said yes and she didn't get to choose the brides maids or anything I knew something was up when this happened. A few months later and she came to my house with a black eye and her arm was in a sling but all her 'husband' did was come over and drag her back in the middle of the night I haven't seen her since." I saw a tear drop down Teneille's face and it gave her a hug.
"That dick needs to be put in jail."
"He does but there is not much we can do about it now seeing as we are already pretty beaten up and we also don't know where they are." I looked at the ground Teneille had a good point but I still wanted to try.
