*~*~*~*~*~*~*
A month had passed and Levi is yet to arrive to the office.
Mason, at first was anxious, not knowing what happened with Levi. If he was still crying his heart out. After all he said there was some emergency, so he might be lonely now. He might be needing someone's support. Does anyone help him out? What if he needs money? Or or he is in danger?
But as days went by, Mason started becoming more annoyed than worried. If Levi was really in trouble, he would have let know somehow right? At least to his best friend right? Both Timmy and Levi grew closer in those months of friendship. Levi shares almost every free time of his with his friend. So when Mason approached Timmy in regards about his whereabouts, he was shocked to know even Timmy is unaware.
Putting his ego apart along with his anxiety, he himself reached to Levi. But the call always went unanswered. Mason's anger was rising as he clearly saw his son missing Levi and also Levi didn't apply for any leave. Neither did he get back to his boss and update on his situation.
Still Mason missed his PA. His emotions were always oscillating between anger and worry.
Finally after an entire month, Levi turned up for his work. However he wasn't the same Levi Mason and Timmy saw him the past few months.
Something changed. He seemed to be more reserved and way more timid than he used to be striking something deep in Mason.
His physical appearance took a huge blow. The weight he gained, in the absence of his sir, is nowhere to be seen rather he now looks like a walking skeleton. His cheeks are sunken and lips are chapped. His eyes have dark bags underneath. Also he looks very pale as though he is sick.
Mason worried if Levi might faint any second. So he reduced the work load of his PA and let Levi spend more time with his kid. Since Levi seems to be truly happy around him.
Any harsh sound startles him while someone's touch makes him flinch uncontrollably except Lenny's.
Also one abrupt noticeable change was that Levy avoids Timmy like plague. Sure something must have happened in the one month he wasn't coming to office but neither Mason nor Timmy knows what.

Levi had reached his house fifteen minutes late yet he stood at the door grabbing his non-existent courage to enter.
He knows he will be punished severely if he wastes anymore time. Moreover he noticed the swaying of curtain as he stepped up into the porch, indicating his sir was at the window watching him arrive.
Soon enough the front door slammed open causing a startled gasp to escape from him. But he didn't have enough time to compose himself as his sir dragged him inside by his collar.
Robert threw him onto the couch in the living room.
Levi whimpered on impact but he grew tensed. He opened his mouth to apologize, however Robert slapped him so hard that the sound echoed through out the hall.
"Shut. Your. Mouth. Don't even dare to speak up."
Levi cupped his tender cheek that has turned rosy and nodded dutifully. His tears spilt over making Robert even more furious.
"I didn't even start and you are crying. Well fine then I'll give you many reasons to keep on crying."
Levi dared to say something to which he earned another slap. He shut his eyes tightly while biting his lips. He rapidly shook his head to stop from whimpering and crying. Nonetheless it was in vain. His tears continued to leak. His breathing picked up along with his heart. It felt as though his tiny heart is running a marathon inside its cage.
