Mason was in deep thought as it was apparent by him sitting in front of his open laptop at his desk. The screen showed a display of an autocad with half finished designs. The cursor blinking lazily waiting to be moved yet the boss simply held the mouse in one hand and the other holding his chin.

Lenny was sleeping soundly in his small bed, uncaring of the stress his father is presently undergoing.

Mason took a deep sigh as he heard the knock at his door. With a come in he straightened his posture to address the coming person properly.

Levi had a sweet smile on his face and walked into the room with a giddy atmosphere. The odd behavior made Mr. Bossy to tilt his head in confusion. He laced his fingers together and supported his chin on them.

"What got you so happy?" Mason drawled looking a tad uncertain.

"Uhm. S-sir regarding the c-contract with Smith f-firm."

There was a steady rise of tension in the room. But Levi continued either not feeling it or uncaring about it.

"The CEO of the f-firm has come here d-directly s-sir."

His timid PA was still smiling longingly that brought about a twisted feeling in his gut. He doesn't know why his PA was happy. Is it about the contract? Or..... oh CEO of the firm is Robert.

Mason scoffed in disbelief but waved his hand to continue.

"T-they are waiting in the meeting r-room s-sir."

On hearing this, he rose his brow questioning silently why the other male didn't approach him first before making his husband seated at the meeting area. He would have definitely asked it loud but he was too drained of energy to actually get angry or handle the lad's antics.

So he nodded his head and stood to go there.

With Levi walking in front of him with a skip in his step twisted something painfully in his gut as he started to realize the happiness radiating off from the lad was due to the presence of Robert.

Mason hated Robert with a deep passion, in fact much more than he heated Levi. After all it was his friendship that had started the male to go astray. Still the actions of Levi was his own decisions so both are to be equally blamed.

As they continued to walk, the doctor's words were ringing clearly in Mason's head.

The kid isn't in the right mindset. What he had yesterday was an episode and I'm afraid it will be frequent from now on.

Mason can't understand anything the doc said. Even if he asked to elaborate, he was denied any answer saying he need to contact him if it happens again.

He took a deep breathe trying to control his emotions that were going haywire. As he entered the meeting room, he found his biggest enemy sitting on the end of table with crossed legs and arms.

"Took you long enough Levi."

It was a bit shocking that Robert didn't even spare a glance at Mason as if he hadn't entered itself, rather going directly to greet his husband.

Levi began to squirm uncomfortably under the intense gaze of his sir. Long gone was the happy mood but now dread was slowly forming in the pit of his tummy.

"S-sorry s-sir."

Levi stuttered out causing Mason to cast a weird glance his way. He shrugged his shoulders and cleared his throat to gain the attention to him.

"Mr. Robert Smith, pleasant to meet you."

"Yes Mr. Mason Burman."

Both of them shook hands while Levi shuffled from one foot to another. Later Mason took a seat at the other end of the table gesturing Levi to sit too. As he proceeded to sit on the seat next to him which was surprisingly beside Robert, the intimidating man gave an annoyed sound.
