It took a long time for Levi to calm down. He sort of had a mini panic attack but soon resolved his will. He has to make it, he can't afford to leave this job as his sir would not allow him another one. Also he would not allow another person to harass him, he'll fight back if he was wrongly punished. No matter if the said person is a re-incarnate of greek god. Levi's heart thudded looking at the chiseled face.
A distant ringing of telephone brought him back into present. He managed to take a deep breath before picking up the receiver.
"Good morning. A & E designs. How can I help you?"
"Good morning, this is Rick from Magic company speaking. I would like to see if your company is interested in planning out a new mall."
"Ok sir. Please let me check in with him and call you back."
"Yeah sure. Lemme know the details if your boss agrees."
"Thank you sir and I'll let your company know if we are interested."
Magic company is a smaller enterprise that specializes in constructing apartments. So probably this is the first time they will be doing a mall. Patrick used to help them construct an elegant apartment at a reasonable cost. Levi just hopes that the new boss would also accept this proposal as both companies are good friends in business.
Speaking of boss... oh crap, I still don't know his name. Well I guess it's time to find out.
Knock. Knock.
"Sir, there was a call from Magic's Ricky. He asked whether we are interested in designing a mall."
"Hmm.." but he continued drawing out designs on the papers.
"Ah sir?" His boss heaved a sigh and finally looked up at Levi.
"Mr. Smith, can you please tell me the schedule for today? Also who exactly is this Ricky?"
"Ah yes sir. You probably have 3 meetings today scheduled at 11, 2 and 4' O clock respectively with the board members, C&J housing and Beauty salons." Levi read out by flipping through the pages to which his boss keenly listened. "And to answer your question regarding Mr Ricky, he is an assistant engineer at a startup company Magic. They specialize in building housing apartments. Probably this is the first time for them to construct a shopping mall. They have already worked together with us in building Preetam apartments."
"Hmm ok. Schedule an appointment with him tomorrow and let him know to bring up with detailed plan."
"Sure sir. Now excuse me."
"Cannot Mr. Smith."
"Sir?"
"From tomorrow onwards I expect you to arrive half an hour before, arrange the office, set up the working table for drawing, put schedule on the desk with pending paper works, buy marigold from the flower shop down the road and a steaming black coffee on the table. All this to be done before I get to the office. Got it?"
"Ah ok sir."
"Hm. Now please get me a coffee. I expect you to get me one within the next five minutes. And get me the previous meeting notes for the above companies."
Levi was flabbergasted and left with an okay sir. He rushed to get the coffee from down the floor to reach within the time limit. He hurriedly printed out the key points recorded during the last meeting along with the minutes of the meeting.
Levi then entered the office and set down his things.
"You're coffee sir."
"Hmm. You may leave." When Levi was about to get out, he was stopped with an annoyed sigh.
