in this dark, moonlit night,
your hypnotic eyes reflect the stars,
holding secrets i cannot begin to fathom,
buried deep, deep, beneath the depths
of the oceans,
its cerulean waters only small,
lapping waves,
caressing the shore yet never sinking too
low.
in this hidden, majestical night,
your raven hair sweeps up gently,
tufts aloft above its ebony mass,
flying freely of its own accord
with feather-like swiftness;
it breathes the cool air,
purging itself and
letting go of it
all.
in this free, mystical night,
your burgundy lips are rich merlot,
and i want to get drunk on them,
feel the blood red high with
the sweet zephyr holding me afloat,
feel the world spin away past us in
this moment,
this one,
feel the weight lift and the strings attached
fall loose,
feel alone yet never more together
right here,
right now,
simply me and
simply you.
