Chapter 11: Stuck With Me
Aurora
"Can you believe Saturday is only three days away? Finally, I can go into my most beloved hibernation! Yay!" Jaxon exclaimed merrily as the four of us stepped into the campus.
"I can finish reading some books then, and it's been so damn long since I played any games online," Declan added, the two of them already daydreaming as if the weekend were already here.
"You guys get to enjoy it while I will be stuck with writing songs," I murmured.
"I thought you loved writing songs?" Jaxon asked me with slight confusion.
"I do, but I have to write with Davian," I groaned.
Jaxon and Declan burst into laughter, while Davian looked at me in disbelief.
"I should be the one annoyed at being stuck with you," Davian retorted.
Before I could reply, Declan spoke up, "I think the task they gave in the final audition is perfect for us. In this way, the two of you are being forced to work together on writing songs, which makes it easier for us because from now on, both of you have to write together for the band."
"That's right," Jaxon agreed. "Dee and I were cracking up plans to trap you two to get into writing songs together, but thankfully, the audition task did the honor itself. Lucky us, eh, Dee?"
"Definitely." Declan and Jaxon shared a high-five.
Meanwhile, Davian and I stared at each other with a blank look. Internally, my thoughts were running miles, though.
Would Davian like my songwriting style? What if our styles didn't match? But if it didn't match, I wouldn't have gotten selected as a B4U member in the first place. What if they chose me by hearing my vocals, not my songwriting skill?
"We will think about it. Let's see how our first song goes, and then, we can decide whether we want to continue writing songs together or not," Davian told them, and I nodded my head in agreement. "And the two of you don't try to play matchmaking if we decide not to continue together," he added, giving the other two a small warning glare.
Jaxon and Declan shared a look before turning back to Davian.
"Anyway, it's time for the classes to start. I am leaving. See ya!" Jaxon rushed, and Declan did the same after giving us a small nod.
I looked at Davian, only to find him looking back at me.
"Don't you have classes?" he deadpanned.
"My first class is English Literature, and your one is Chemistry. The classrooms are next to each other, so let's walk together, shall we?" I started walking.
Davian walked along and muttered under his breath, "Why is my everything always with her?" He assumed I didn't hear, but I did, and yet, I suppressed my smile.
He is stuck with me.

"Hey, Davian. Let's try to write the song now," I said as soon as Davian stepped out of his classroom.
"Holy—" He was about to walk right into me, only to jump back a little in surprise, then he glared at me. "Why did you scare me like that? Geez. How come you are out here when the bell just rang?"
It wasn't the first time I startled him. Last night, I had opened the door at the same time he opened his, and surprisingly, Davian was a little too easily spooked. I wanted to test it to confirm; turns out I was right.
