Chapter 14: People I Adore
Aurora
Last night, Davian and I decided to sing our lines with fixed background music. We didn't wake up Jaxon or Declan to practice as they only had to sing during the chorus part.
Once we were too sleepy and decided we shouldn't strain anymore, we stopped rehearsing, and I returned to my room to sleep.
We were now patiently waiting as Cillian heard the music. We were in the practice room. Everyone was sitting on the beanbags, and I was a little anxious about what he would think.
"This is perfect. I even checked the lyrics, and it was really good." I sighed in relief. Cillian looked at Davian and me and said, "Well done, you two. You collaborated wonderfully."
"So will you two write songs together from now on or...?" Nina asked the same question Declan had asked me.
"Of course, they would. I mean, Aura and Davian's story will bloom only if they start spending time tog—" I glared at Jaxon, who was on my left side, making him put a brake on his words.
"But they are slowly spending time together, right?" Declan spoke up and glanced at Davian, who was next to him, giving him a teasing smirk.
"You—" Davian was interrupted by Declan, who nonchalantly raised his hands in defeat.
"I was just stating the obvious. You two need to form a special bond if we want to make the show a hit. Cillian already said that you would be the male protagonist while Aura would be the female protagonist. Of course, that's only if B4U gets chosen as the main cast."
"What?" I let out in disbelief. "I mean, I understand that I am the only girl in this band, but why only Davian? Even Jax and Dee deserve a chance." I looked at Cillian in question, who smiled in response.
"I took their opinion at first. Two of them suggested giving Davian's name there so I don't think they have any problems," he answered me.
"Then, why didn't you ask me?" Davian inquired.
Jaxon laughed at his words. "Why should we ask you when the two of us already gave the name? You wouldn't have any option."
Declan chuckled as Davian rolled his eyes.
"So if we get selected, Davian will be my love interest?" I mumbled. I didn't know why but the thought was exciting and scary at the same time.
"Yes, he will," Jaxon whispered to me as if he was letting me on some good news.
I narrowed my eyes on him and shifted my gaze to Cillian when he started speaking, "Let's hear the band singing the song now before we head to LMR. Get ready, boys—" when he looked at me, he added, "and girl."
All of us got up to pick up our instruments, and I started singing along with Davian. Jaxon and Declan joined us during chorus time when needed.
After Cillian and Nina heard us singing the song, Nina commented, "It's beautiful, but Davian and Aura, why don't you look at each other while singing? It will show the spark."
"There's no spark," Davian and I said at the same time. But just after saying it, I found myself wondering fleetingly, was there really not?
"Besides, we will record our singing in LMR, so why do we have to show a spark?" Davian questioned.
"Leave it, Nina," Cillian prevented Nina from saying anything else about it. "They will when they have it. And even if they don't, they have to bring it out to act in front of the camera if they get selected. So wait for it."
