Chapter 38: A Solo Bomb
Aurora
I rushed out of the classroom once I handed my exam paper to the teacher. The exam went awesome, and I was able to answer everything confidently. Fortunately, all of my exams went like this—all thanks to my awesome boyfriend.
I waited outside Davian's classroom, eagerly waiting for him to come so that I could tell him how my exam went.
Once I spotted Davian getting out, I jumped and hugged him from behind. "Hey, Davian."
He was startled at first, and I giggled. I no longer appeared in front of him, rather I jumped on his back or hugged him from behind. One would think he would get used to it by now. But it was Davian. He was going to get startled by this forever.
Realizing it was me, he relaxed and placed his hands over mine, not turning around. "Seems like your exam went well," I could hear the smile in his voice.
"Yes," I told him. "What about you, though? How was your exam?"
"It was great."
"As I would expect from my genius boyfriend," I praised, then sighed happily as I said, "Finally, our exams are over." I was excited at the thought. "I have so many plans for the holidays."
"What plans?"
"First, I will go to my dads and stay with them." As soon as I mentioned that, I noticed his shoulders tensing and the smile on his face dropped. I unwrapped my arms around his waist and went to stand in front of him. "What's wrong?" I asked softly, placing a hand on his cheek and another on his shoulder, looking at his sad expression in concern.
"Nothing." He brushed off my hands and started walking, leaving me behind.
Immediately, I caught up with his pace and draped my arms around his right elbow.
"Hey, tell me what's wrong," I insisted.
He remained quiet for a few moments until he stopped walking and turned to me. Taking a deep breath, he let out, "You will be with your dads again this break. So does this mean we won't be seeing each other till the holidays are over? Is that how it's going to be every break?"
I chuckled seeing a frown appearing on his lips. I pulled his cheeks, saying, "Aww, Davian. It's so silly of you to even think that I won't be with y'all during the holiday again. Didn't I tell you during the New Year's video call that I was never ever going to let myself miss you guys like that?"
He furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean?"
"Last time there wasn't enough space, but this time, my dads are preparing a room with three beds for the three of you. They told me to invite you guys as well during the holidays if you aren't too busy." As far as I knew, the three boys weren't planning to go to their respective homes over the spring break.
Davian's eyes lit up in happiness. "Really?"
I nodded. "So are you busy or...?"
"Unless you count me sitting on the rooftop, writing sad songs about missing my girlfriend as busy, of course, I am in. But only if Jax or Dee tags along. Otherwise, it would be weird because your dads already know we are dating, and..."
I burst into laughter. "You got the habit of stress rambling like me, Davian."
He chortled. "What can I do? Your habits are contagious."
"What's the number one couple laughing about?" came Jaxon's happy voice.
We looked to our left, only to find Jaxon walking along with Declan.
