A few days go of mason taking care of me and me just sitting around and doing nothing. Mason feeds me, takes off my bandages, takes care of lily and does it all. I've never seen him work as hard as he is right now.
Eventually my ankles heal enough where I can start walking again instead of having mason drag me around in a wheelchair, I swear I loath the wheelchair with a burning passion but mason makes it fun and tries to make me feel better about it all the time.
He knows how I feel about not being able to do things myself and I really love that. After I've healed and am mostly up and walking I start going back to work, I had a three week vacation for the winter and it had been too long since I had gone to work and done something outside of home.
Mason insisted on me not going to work and just quitting saying that he would take care of any financial needs me and lily have but I need to make my own money, if anything does go wrong again I'm not going back to uprooting my whole life and having to go through finding a place to live and how to make money and all that. that happened once already, I won't let it happen again. Especially not when I have my own child to take care of too. I found a new job some time ago and had three paid weeks off before I started and luckily I healed just before I started at my new job today.
I started an interior designing business and I got a few clients that I start working with today. I wake up early, shower, get dressed and head off to meet my clients, the day goes by fast as I discuss plans for their house, how they want it to look, and pricing , etc.
I set up my own office today too and it of course looked amazing. I decorated with plants and posters and all of my interests and I have a huge window where I get an amazing view of the sunrise and the sunset.
I'm so excited for this, its something I've always wanted to do but never had the opportunity or resources to pursue. once I get home I flop on the sofa tired and worn out. I love that feeling, the feeling that you got something done and you're doing something for yourself and others.
"tiring day?" mason walks in flopping on the sofa beside my head.
"You have no idea, but it's so amazing Alex, I set up my office and met with a couple clients and it was an amazing first day. If this goes well I could be doing this job forever and it would be so cool."
He smiles really big and I lay my head on his lap.
"How was your day?" I ask.
"The only good part was playing with lily and then when she went to daycare it got boring and meh, theres not much to do here sometimes."
I smile too, he looks down into my eyes and eventually I look towards the tv.
"Wanna watch a movie till its time for lily to come back?"
"Yes! I love movies."
"Yeah I know" I giggle. I always forget that we know so much about each other, mason even knows a lot of my secrets that I don't tell to the people I'm closest to, he was and still is someone that's easy to confide in. that's one thing I loved about him.
"What do you wanna watch?"
After much debating we end up picking out a show instead of a movie, it was our favourite show when we were together, Kc undercover. The only reason we watch that instead of anything else is because we love, love, love zendaya. I used to watch this show all the time and when we started mason joined me and it became our one special thing. I love this show.
We watch the show until it's time to pick up lily and after we pick her up, we all talk about our day in the car driving home, it felt like we were one perfect family.
That's how our days go for around a month and a half. Going out, going to work, spending time with family, and having our own me time. Me and Leo recently went to the mall and had lunch together and when we came back, I could tell mason was all jealous. It's so funny because he can never hide it and it made us crack up, I teased him while Leo was laughing behind him.
"Is somebody jealous?"
"Who? Not me for sure."
Me and Leo look at each other and giggle and could not stop, mason looks behind him and immediately knows what's going on.
"Are you guys mocking me?!!"
He looks at Leo and pushes him out of the living room.
"Fuck outa here, ill beat your ass"
I couldn't stop laughing after that and it was hilarious, He ends up ignoring me and changing the topic.
"there's a party going on for work or something on Sunday will you go with me?"
"a party?! Of course!"
Everyone knows I love parties; partying is my favourite things to do. I haven't been to one in like 5 years though.
"It's not much of a party more like a rich people ball. Would you still wanna go?"
"a ball?! THAT'S EVEN BETTER OF COURSE ILL GO."
Now a ball is something new, I have never been to one, it's more a rich people thing but I always wanted to go to one. The feeling of being in an elegant gown, drinking rich wine, is just wow.
I am so going to that ball.
Hey guys I'm so sorry it's taken me a while to post, schools really busy with finals for this semester and when I wrote a bunch for the next chapter it all deleted.😐 but I do hope you guys enjoyed this chapter I promise it will me more exciting than this boring one.🙄🤍
