A Sad (but hopefully wholesome) one- Chinhae and Hyunki leave.

"Mírë, we should get up. It is late."

Felix only nuzzled deeper into his alpha's chest, wanting to block out reality.

They both knew this day would come, but no matter what they did to prepare themselves nothing would have made it that much easier to handle.

Releasing a shuddering breath, the omega rested his chin on Chan's sternum to look at his mate with his indigo eyes, lips pressed together in worry.

The older wasn't fairing any better with dark (well, darker) circles clouding his blue and brown eyes.

With the back of his knuckles, the alpha traced the younger's cheek tenderly, lips pulling into the gentlest smile when Felix leaned into his touch before pressing his lips to his skin, eagerly returning the comforting gesture with his own.

"Chan, Lix, you should come eat," Jisung linked them, words spoken softly, knowing what they implied.

The last time they'd eat with their pup.

The thought was enough for the two to frown heavily before slowly climbing out of bed, doing their best to impede the inevitable with slow movements.

By the time the two made it outside, Minho was already cutting up meat for them to eat, forcing Chan to hurry towards his pack to sit beside Chinhae, a palm squeezing his neck in greeting, the younger alpha nuzzling into his wrist.

Felix came to sit on the other side of Chinhae with the twins seated next to him who carried equally downcast expressions.

As Minho cut the meat, Chan shared it out to his packmates, following the same routine they've had for years, ensuring everyone had their fair share before calling for them to eat.

However, as they devoured the meat laid in front of them, they all doted on Chinhae and Hyunki, especially Chan, who'd take a small bite before holding out the rest for Chinhae, sometimes Hyunki (who was already suffering from his own parents, mouth puffed with food) and when the alpha pup denied his father, breathing out something about being too full, slouched heavily against Felix, Chan had stared him down, glancing between him and the meat.

It was safe to say Chinhae and Hyunki were unable to move for a very long time.

Which, in turn, led to their wolf-pile-cuddle-to-sleep right next to the fire that was slowly dying out.

Except, Felix couldn't sleep.

With an annoyed huff, he sat up slowly, taking his time to soak up and memorise the sight of his pups curled around each other and basking in each other's body warmth.

As he stood, he caught Chan's gaze, his heterochromia eyes peering at him knowingly.

"Hurry back."

The omega nodded before waddling away.
