(for those who don't know Hussein is the name of my new main oc so wherever I'm mentioned in this back it'll be by the name of my main oc Hussein or his nickname Huhu)
I absolutely hate sciences and maths. But because of how much sentimental value CH has to me I decided I'll finally do smth science and maths related at my own will. So yea let's start. There's also another important A/N at the end.
How CH flags get their color.
Normal humans have melanin in their bodies which gives them their eye, skin and hair color. CH do not have any melanin anywhere in their bodies besides their hair(some CH lack melanin in their hair as well). Instead they have three different pigments present in their bodies which depending on the amount decides the main flag colors of CH and the main shades of the colors. The three pigments are rubrum(red), flavum(yellow) and caeruleum(blue). (Names are from Latin because in actual science most names are also taken from Latin). The three pigments are present all over the body of a CH but only appear on some areas of the CH(which is how their flag looks like). Some CH do lack one of the three pigments in their bodies, E.G, U.S.A lacks the pigment flavum, U.S.S.R lacked the pigmenf caeruleum.
In quite a few cases the pigments get mixed to form different colors. E.G. for Ind, the pigments rubrum and flavum have mixed to form the orange present in his flag. This process is called 'meigma chromaton'.
(let's pretend I have an audience and someone asks the next few questions)
Why do CH age so slowly?
That is because CH are tardus senescit beings. Tardus senescit means 'slow aging' in Latin.
CH are naturally needing triple the amount of food and sleep as babies than normal human babies. They are needing more because at birth their flags are almost entirely white or grey. Due to which they need more food and sleep to enhance the three pigments which still need to develope in their bodies. By the time by the time they are 5 years old in CH age, their flags have fully formed and they then require the same amount of food and sleep as normal humans. When do CH stop aging?
In humans, they stop aging in looks(this includes height, chest growth for females, and hair starts growing at a slower pace) after 18 or so.
CH have a similar thing. They stop growing physically at the CH age of 18, but their hair still grows at the same pace. Due to this reason most female or feminine looking CH have extremely long hair(if they decide not to cut it).How do genders work in CH?
In my AU, CH actually have three genders.
The first two are male and female.
Third is 'Non-genuit', which means non-gendered. (This one was the hardest for me to make a scientific reason for).
CH who are non-genuit have a special chromosome called 'z'. They do not have any reproductive parts in their body. CH who are this gender are asexual, they go by pronouns of their own choice.
These CH sometimes look more feminine or more masculine according to their preference. They also lack x and y chromosomes and only have two z chromosomes. (Very creative I know /sarcastic).
In some rare cases they have zy or zx chromosomes. In those cases they still lack reproductive parts but look and have features of masculinity or femininity.
This is why in the last question I mentioned "female or feminine looking CH".
CH with zx chromosomes mostly prefer she/they pronouns(not all do). While CH with zy chromosomes prefer he/they pronouns(again not all do).CH age in more detail
As I said much earlier, CH as babies need thrice the requirement of food and sleep than normal human babies. But then wouldn't that mean CH would age slower than humans only by 3x?Short answer, no.
Long answer-
To CH, their days as babies are much MUCH shorter than normal human babies. Their days as babies is still 24 hours but due to the time they spend eating and sleeping, their days can be considered 6-8 hours long. Because of how short their days are, they still age 10x slower than normal humans. CH time is same as human time, but due to how CH as babies spend their days its considered much shorter. Which is the main reason CH age slower than humans. By the time in CH age they reach 18, they have physically stopped aging but their age system stays the same. What actually are CH?
In my AU, CH are a type of homo sapien sub species that have much different than humans genetically. This is just a short brief way to explain it which is understandable.(A/N: don't ask how I went on a whole maths and science lesson. Yes I'm making a whole CH science and maths. You can't stop me. CH as babies live the thug life, 6-8 awake eating or just laying around and sleeping for the whole rest of the day.)
