Anyway this is getting off track
I wanted to talk about writing and tips and being alive so here we go:
My personal thought in improving your writing is to (this only works if its fiction): write fanfiction. For your own book. It doesnt have to be finished. All you need is the basic plot stuff and your characters. I think it's fun, and it helps sort of expand your ideas. If you sit down and try and write fanfiction for your own book, you have to think of new possibilities. And that might end up as a better option for your writing.

Bother your friends to edit your stuff—but not grammar wise, idea wise.
Get someone else to read it
Read it aloud to yourself
