Two weeks later
Slight Mature Content
Bored. Completely bored. It's a Saturday and I have absolutely no plans. These past weeks have been so busy I've had no time to be bored. After finally finding a good paying job as a Content Marketer, I've been working my ass off. But now? I have absolutely nothing to do.
"Let's call up May, haven't spoken to her in a couple hours." I lay on the couch opening my FaceTime log.
"Ringg... Ringgg... Ringgg... Ringgg..."
No answer. That's fine she might be taking a nap or something.
How about Kaidan? I haven't seen him all week. Apparently due to the fact that his dad is in the country right now.
"Hey megamind." Kaidan answered my call.
"Yeah, I'm hanging up now." I rolled my eyes.
"Okay, okay! My apologies." He laughed it off.
"What you up to 素敵 (suteki)?"
"You still won't tell me what that word means."
"You don't need to know. Or should I just call you 私の愛 (watashi no ai)?" He said with a small chuckle.
"I seriously can not stand you." I laughed rolling my eyes again.
"Are you driving right now?" I asked as I heard some honking in the distance.
"Yeah, I'm on my way home right now."
"Ding!" a lightbulb went off in my head.
"Focus on driving I'll call you later!" I exclaimed out before abruptly hanging up the phone.
Without any other thoughts I hopped in the shower, grabbed the groceries sitting on my counter, and called myself an Uber.
After about 15 minutes I had finally arrived at Kaidan's apartment. I then knocked on his door, as I made sure I looked presentable.
"Daya?" Kaidan swung open the door as we locked eyes.
Damn he looked good. Seems like he just finished his shower. Hair still wet as he was drying it with a small white towel. His arm flexes behind his head, causing his bicep to pop up. His hair definitely was not the only thing wet right now.
I cleared my throat, collecting my composure, and walked inside.
"I knew how much you missed me, so I decided to surprise you!"
"Ooh, so that's why you hung up like that." He chuckled closing the door behind him.
"What's all that for?" He then point to the groceries in my hand.
"I was gonna cook dinner but I decided to cook with you instead." I walked over to the kitchen counter and put the food down.
"Good, I was absolutely starving. So what are we cooking?" He walked over to help me unpack the foods.
"Remember my mom's pork chops and rice? She finally gave me the recipe!" Excitement rose in my voice.
"But you can't see it. It's a family secret."
