Perspective of: Daya

I quickly ducked under my laptop trying not to be noticed. I tilted my head looking into Kaidan's direction see his facial expression.

He looked annoyed with a hint of anger in his eyes. His arms were crossed over his broad chest and his muscles tightened up. His face showed no sign of annoyance but his body language gave him away.

"Wait, why am I hiding? I didn't do anything wrong." I thought to myself.

I then slowly sat up and looked directly at Ishaan with confidence.

"Good morning class. I'm Mr. Blackwell and I will be your new teacher for your CBIS class this year. I'm looking forward to working with all of you guys as you move toward success." Ishaan introduced himself.

While he spoke his eyes roamed around the class, stopping when they met mine. His eyes slightly widen and his body freeze in shock. His eyes then shifted to Kaidan's, his shocked expression slowly turning into a grin.

Without saying a word, Kaidan scoots his chair closer to me wrapping his hand around me.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I whispered trying to shove him off.

"Just sit still." He whispered back.

"Okay. I will now start attendance." Ishaan continued on looking away from us.

I spent the rest of my class questioning what kind of situation I was now stuck in. Every once in a while I looked up and met eyes with Ishaan quickly breaking eye contact and looking back at my computer. It was basically impossible to pay attention with Kaidan's closeness adding onto that.

As soon as the class was over I quickly grabbed my stuff and sped out the door. As soon as my foot stepped out of the door I was immediately pulled back by May.

"Where are you going?" She asked holding onto my arm.

"Anywhere other than here." I uttered out moving my arm away from her hand and speed walking away.

Without making any stops, I quickly jogged into the cafeteria. The only thing I could do at this point was to try to forget what happened. I stood in line for my breakfast and eventually sat down to eat.

Just as I was about to take a bite, my finally relaxed train of thought was interrupted by a familiar, deep, honey like voice.

"Morning Ms. Martin."

I turn my head in shock. How the hell did he know where I was?

"Morning Ish- Mr. Blackwell." I quickly corrected myself.

"It's alright. Feel free to call me Ishaan when we're alone." He grinned, showing off his pearly whites.

"Oh. Okay." I shyly smiled back.

"Do you have some free time to talk? I know a great café off campus." He asked casually, as if we're close friends.

"I'm not sure. I was thinking of studying for right now." I lowered my head.

"Wait no. I shouldn't be the one acting shy." I thought out to myself.
