"Y-yeah. I'm okay." I blinked with a blank expression.

"Oh, thank god." He crouched down with his hands on his knees.

I couldn't help but let out a quick laugh. He stood right outside my door in a black shirt and red flannel pajama pants. Looking down, I noticed his miss matched fuzzy socks and Nike slides. He definitely had just ran over here from where ever he was.

"How did you get here so quick?"

"I moved in like two blocks down." He was still trying to catch his breath.

"What?!" My eyes widened.

"It was the only place I could find on short notice." He stood up straight, releasing a big huff.

"Oh." I looked into his eyes.
"Yeah." He looked into mine.

Silence rang in the air. He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. I leaned up against the side of the door, my eyes still locked on him.

I watched as his eyes darted from my face, down to my body, and back at my face again, his cheeks slowly turning pink. I then began to realize what I was wearing. White satin booty shorts, lined with lace and a matching tank top. No bra, no panties. He could definitely see my nipples poking through my top.

"Ugh.. so why did you want me to come over?" His cheeks still pink.

"Oh. I just.. well.. I wanted.. I.." Fuck. Why did I invite him here.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have told you to come. It was pointless."

Just as I was about to close the door, his hand stops it.
"Can I come in?" He smiled.

"I can't believe you ran all the way over here." I laughed as I stuffed my face with a few potato chips, crossing my legs.

"I genuinely thought something had happened." He laughed, as he laid down on the other couch.

"Thanks for caring, I guess." I licked the salt off my fingers, grabbing a hair tie off the coffee table to tie my box braids back.

"Let me tie your hair." Kaidan sat up, holding his hand out.

"Why?" I handed him the hair tie.

"I always wanted to try but you always said no." He got up and walked over to me.

I scoot down onto the floor as he took my seat, his legs on the sides of me.

"Not true." I rolled my eyes sarcastically.

His cool hands softly graze my skin as he moves my braids from my face, sending goosebumps down my spine.

"Can I put your bonnet on for you too?"

"Bonnet?" I turned my head to him.
"Who taught you that?"

"I've known you since you were born. How would I not know what a bonnet is?" He laughed looking down at me.
"It protects your hair while you sleep."
