So this is special chapter, the one that shows little bit of the life of paramedics and Emergency Center workers


Emergency control center:

10.00 o'clock AM

there are so quiet at here... Which is not good at the place like that. We have not got any new alarms or emergency calls. Means that during 30 minutes something will be happening... Quiet is not good.

10.05 o'clock AM

We receive a call, and hear something at the line, maybe someone is crying...

10.06 o'clock AM

The person on the line notice that have got though the line. He says in distress 'My girlfriend need help' what do we know from the case is that it might be an suicide attempt. 

10.08 o'clock AM

We can't locate the phone straight away, so we need to ask more things like the address, patients name, callers name.

10.10 o'clock AM

The caller says that his name is Tobias Eaton, he is eighteen year old and the girl lives at the Tulip road 15.

10.12 o'clock AM

Patient records: Beatrice Shailene Prior, sixteen, blood group is AB(a-), and PIN 100404A1895, Acute anorexia and ongoing depression. 

10.15 o'clock AM

The emergency line is kept open. Two units are sent to address and we are trying to calm the caller down. Speaking with him. 

10.20 o'clock AM

Both of ambulances are on their way to address, they are couple houses away. Shailene and Tobias are talking quietly at the other side of line. 

10.25 o'clock AM

Both of the ambulances is marked to entrance to address. Tobias says thank you and we close the telephone line. 


The paramedics [ambulances 1 and 2]

10.15 o'clock AM

There is alarm at the address Tulip road 15. Patient is Shailene (first name Beatrice) Prior. Sixteen year old. Patient does have serious eating disorder and severe mental illnesses. Beacause of anorexia she is underweight. Patient does have self-made wound at her left hand. Shailene went not respondent space maybe a five minutes ago. Unconcious may have caused by hearth attack or lung failure. 

10.30 o'clock AM

ABC checked five minutes ago. She is quite stable to be transferred. Patient has been intubated couple seconds ago. She is connected to live support, is ventilated with oxygen mask. Patient has been resuscitated for four minutes now, she is not capable to transfer yet. 

10.45 o'clock AM

Resuscitation has been stopped, when we got her vitals back. She will be ready to be transferred soon. At this moment the machine is breathing for her [100% machine oxygen]. 

10.50 o'clock AM

We have got her pulse almost back to normal. Two IV infusions have been started. The blood transfer though CVC (central venous catheter) and saline though IV at her elbow bend. At this point her body temperature is 35' and oxygen saturation is 75 [with machine oxygen]. 

11.00 o'clock AM

Both ambulances arrive at the nearest hospital [Children' Central hospital]. The patient is transferred to Intensive Care Unit. They are gonna prepare her for the surgical Feeding tube. 

11.15 o'clock AM

We give the medical records of her from the nurses, surgeon and doctors who will continue treating her at the hospital. 

11.30 o'clock AM

The patient is taken to Theater [surgery room]. And we get the new alarm.

12.00 o'clock AM

Unit is leaving the hospital, another will be on lunch break. We accept the new alarm. Hopefully the girl will be Okay after the operation.
