After they were done doing...well, doing each other, they both decided on taking a nap. Olivia was laying in Emily's arms, her head on Emily's chest. She was in heaven. Emily never really fell asleep, just enjoying the moment. No matter how good sex felt, she really and truly enjoyed the aftercare.
Her phone buzzed. She grabbed it and looked at the notification. It was an instagram notification. She was tagged on a story. She opened the app and saw Gary's story. Gary as in Olivia's ex's best friend. Weird.
PARTY AT GARY'S HOUSE TONIGHT IN HONOR OF OUR OLD PRINCIPAL BEING KICKED OUT! STARTS AT 10PM!
Emily chuckled and texted him.
-We'll be there., she sent the message and turned her phone off.
She looked at the time. They had three hours to get ready. She let Olivia rest some more, just laying there and watching her sleep. She loved how peaceful Olivia looked. Emily leaned down and kissed her forehead softly. The older brunette scrunched her nose and opened one eye.
-You do know that it's creepy that you watch me sleeping., pouted Olivia.
-Yes. But you're my girlfriend. And you're beautiful. And you're mine. So, I'm allowed to stare., replied Emily with the same pout.
-Mmm, yeah. Fair enough., chuckled the older girl.
-Babe, there's a party at Gary's house tonight. To celebrate the principal being kicked out. Do you wanna go?, asked Emily, unsure if Olivia felt like going to a party.
-Oh. Well, yeah. Sure. If your parents are okay with it, yeah., nodded Olivia with a smile.
-I'll ask them, but they'll most likely say yes., chuckled Emily, knowing that her girlfriend was still getting used to her parents.
-Okay., smiled the older girl, leaning up to peck Emily's lips.
The younger brunette smiled into the kiss and pulled away, caressing Olivia's cheek gently.
-We still have some time. You can rest some more if you want to?, suggested Emily, moving her hand to Olivia's hair to put a strand of hair behind her ear.
-I have homework. I need to start focusing on school again., sighed the other girl with a small smile.
-Really? Homework? Come on, babe. The weekend just started. You have time. We have time., pouted the younger one.
-Yeah, but unlike you, I wanna do my homework. And I need to do it. You're smart and manage to pass tests without studying much or doing homework, but I need it. Homework helps me understand the lessons, whether it's in math or in other subjects., admitted Olivia, sitting up.
-Okay, I get it. But you still have two days. How about...you rest today and tomorrow, I help you with your homework? In which subjects do you have homework?, asked Emily, pulling Olivia into her arms.
-Trigonometry., sighed the older girl.
-Oh god. Okay. Yeah, I'll help you. I know how much you hate everything that involves calculating angels and that stuff., chuckled the younger brunette, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend.
Olivia kinda gave up at that point, just laying her head on Emily's chest and letting herself get enveloped in her girlfriend's arms. It felt safe. She loved the feeling. She looked up at Emily and smiled softly.
-I'm gonna marry you some day., whispered Olivia.
-Not if I marry you first., smirked Emily pecking Olivia's lips as she looked down to meet her gaze.
-Oh come on, it's not a competition or a race., fake argued Olivia, pouting slightly.
-I know. But I'm still going to win., chuckled the younger girl with a soft expression.
-No. I won., smiled Olivia, still looking at her girlfriend.
-What do you mean?, frowned Emily.
-Well, I won in life. Maybe not when it comes to my mom. But look at it this way. I lost my mom, but gained the love of my life. I lost a toxic person who loved to hurt people, but I gained a gentle softie who would do anything for the people she loves and cares about. I lost a monster, but I gained an angel. My angel. You. So, I won. Because I have you. And all I need is you. Because with you, I'll always feel like I'm winning., shrugged the older brunette as her expression was still soft but become more serious as she kept in talking.
-Damn, Liv. I...I love you so much. I mean, you've made me and turned me into a better version of myself. I'm more empathetic. I'm more patient. I'm...I'm finally able to touch someone and not feel awkward about it. I'm happy. I never had it as hard as you had in life, but I was never really content. Never felt complete. Except for when I was with you. You've always made me happy. You've always help me overcome whatever life threw at me. I wouldn't have made it this far without you. Thank you., replied Emily, taking Olivia's hand in hers.
-Are you trying to make me emotional?, pouted Olivia, looking her in the eyes.
-Nah., chuckled the younger girl, letting go of her hand and getting up, grabbing her clothes and getting dressed again after their...their little intimate moment.
-Where are you going?, asked Olivia, covering herself with the blanket, already missing the warmth from Emily's body.
-Well, I gotta walk Hobi and call my parents to ask them if we can go. You can stay in bed for a little while. I'll be back soon., replied the brunette, smiling softly and putting her hoodie on, then leaning down to peck Olivia's lips.
-Wait, can I come with you? I kinda need some fresh air., admitted Olivia.
-Yeah, but you'll take a snack to eat with you, okay? Your blood pressure was really low. I don't want you to end up in hospital., nodded Emily, grabbing her jacket.
-Okay, thank you. I'll be downstairs in a few minutes., smiled the older girl as she watched her girlfriend leave.
Emily left and went to the kitchen, grabbing some biscuits and eating them, while Olivia finally got dressed, putting Olivia's hoodie on though. It was comfy and smelled like her. She loved it. She got up, grabbed her phone and her jacket, joining Emily.
-Let's go?, asked the older brunette, grabbing Emily's hand.
Emily nodded, whistle to get Hobi's attention and grabbed his leash. They walked out and went on their little walk, giving Emily the time to call her parents.
