She grabbed her hand and walked away. Emily walked with her until she finally decided to pull her girlfriend by her hand and putting her hands on her waist.

-Okay, now that was hot. The way you made him shut up, god I should have recorded that., chuckled the brunette.

-Shut up., smiled Olivia looking up at Emily.

-No, for real Liv. The way you handled him was just simply amazing., replied Emily.

-Thanks love. Now, I have art and you have English, so get moving beautiful., chuckled the older girl.

-Yes babe., smiled Emily pecking her lips.

-See you at lunch., said Olivia as she walked away from her girlfriend.

Emily watched her walk away, even if she didn't notice it. She then felt a tap on her shoulder, so she turned around meeting a unfamiliar girl.

-Yes?, frowned the brunette.

-Uhm, you're kinda in front of my locker., said the girl shyly.

-Oh, sorry., chuckled Emily, her expression softening.

The girl chuckled as well and opened the locker. Emily was now standing next to her locker, which the other girl found odd.

-Are you waiting for someone or..?, wondered the unknown girl.

-No, no. I just...I haven't seen you around here. Are you new?, asked Emily.

-No, no. It's complicated., chuckled the girl.

-Oh, okay. Well then, see you around. I'm Emily by the way., said the brunette.

-Nice to meet you., replied the girl.

-That's the part where you tell me your name., chuckled Emily.

-Oh, yes. Right. I'm Sofia. Sofia Wylie., smiled the girl.

-Well, Sofia, it was nice talking to you but I need to go to class now and I'm sure you do too. Bye now., smiled the brunette walking away.

Emily wasn't one to make friends easily but that girl...she seemed weird. Different. She wasn't one of those bitchy rich assholes. She wasn't a nerd either. She was just...her. She walked to class and sat down, seeing Anne. She hoped the blonde girl would leave her alone now that she was with Olivia but oh well, you can't always have what you want. Anne got up and sat down next to Emily.

-Hey., said the blonde girl.

-Hi., replied Emily not wanting to be rude.

-How are you?, asked Anne.

-Listen, don't take this the wrong way but my relationship with Liv is pretty new and I don't think talking to a girl who I spend two days kissing is very healthy for out relationship. Again, don't take this the wrong way. I don't hate you or anything. I'm very thankful that you let us know about Olivia's ex and stuff, but I can't ignore that something happened between us., explained Emily quickly.

-Emily, I was literally the one who made both of you realize that you had feelings for each other. Why would I want or try to get between you two. I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to pair up for a presentation that we have to do in this class., replied the blonde girl.

-Presentation?, frowned Emily.

-Oh yes, right. Okay, so while you weren't here, the teacher assigned us to choose a book and choose a partner to then present that book with. Since I'm the exchange French student who got you mad at Chelsea and who got you to humiliate her on the bleachers, no one wants to work with me. You're my last hope., admitted Anne.

-Has Chelsea been annoying you the few days that I was gone?, wondered the brunette now frowning.

-Sometimes. But it's fine. I'm used to dealing with bitches., chuckled the blonde girl.

-Okay. Now, about the presentation...Can I give you my answer this afternoon?, asked Emily.

-Yes, of course. Just text and let me know., smiled Anne.

-Okay, I will., nodded the brunette.

She didn't want to make Olivia doubt their relationship or Emily's loyalty so she preferred asking Olivia how she would feel about that.  Sure, Olivia seemed like a confident and secure girl, but Emily knew that deep down, she is human just like the rest of them, which means that she too worries and she too overthinks. She has her secrets. She has her demons.

The teacher finally arrived and started the lesson about some boring book that the school system forces them to read. Even the teacher didn't want to read it. But since it was in the program, they were obligated to read it and write an essay about it which would be 80% of their grade that semester.

Olivia had art, which she used to love. Used to being the key words. Her ex had decided to join that class when they were together. But guess who also joined? Yes, the one and only stalker. Justin. And guess who had recently shaved his head while he was unconscious. Now that would be Olivia. She could feel the boy staring at her. More like glaring. She didn't dare to turn around or even look in his direction. She tried to focus on her painting but she could sense him looking at her, waiting for revenge. She hated it. She felt so uncomfortable. She looked up at the teacher.

-Miss, may I go the bathroom please?, asked the brunette.

-Yes., replied the woman who was busy helping a student out.

Olivia quickly walked out but didn't walk to the bathroom. She needed some fresh air. She walked out of the school and sat down on the stairs. She took a few deep breaths. That's when she heard the door open. She didn't even have the time to turn around, she found herself hitting the floor as someone pulled her by her hair.

-You're dead., whispered the boy as he put his hand on Olivia's mouth.

All she could do was try to scream, the only thing that came out were muffled noises.

The brunette tried to fight him off but she wasn't strong enough. The boy grabbed her and dragged her to an alley between the gym and the main building.

-You're nothing without a weapon., scoffed the boy as he threw her on the floor.

He was about to kick her when someone pulled him back and made him stumble on the floor. No, it was not Emily.
