Chapter 28

Gaddiel have been undergoing therapy because of his trauma and today's his last day in the clinic. He was smiling since the morning.

Pero habang tumatagal... his smile... it's becoming unnatural.

"Hmm?" clueless, he look at me. I was driving while he's at my passenger's seat.

"Your smile, stop that. You look annoying."

"You're leaving tomorrow, Lia..." he muttered unconsciously. "You're going for your dream... I s-should be happy. But..." It's raining outside. I saw him draw a sad face on the window of my car. Ang sad boy! "I want to be happy b-but I'm not, Lia." he said honestly that made me glance at him.

My chest throbbed for him. We spent our summer happily. I'll train in Paris and Gaddiel will study law here in Philippines. His parents are so kind and understanding, they didn't judge me for the path I choose. They're actually as proud as my parents to me.

We go on road trips everyday and tried my extreme hobbies.

"I'll visit when your first sem ends, Gaddiel."

Itong minor na to pa-baby!

I licked my bottom lip before I maneuver the car again.

"Should we spend the night in hotel?" I asked Gaddiel because it's really raining hard. Madulas ang daan at baka maaksidente pa kami.

Wala sa sariling tumango si Gaddiel. "Okay,"

"Y-you should call your parents, Gaddiel. Baka mag-alala sila," Tumikhim ako.

Masunurin niyang inilabas ang phone at tinawagan ang Mommy niya.

"Hello, Mom-- w-we're okay. That's what Lia said actually. Hmm, okay, Mom." Napalingon sakin si Gaddiel. "Yes, Tita. Lia is driving. Opo. Kayo rin po." Then he put his phone back to his pocket.

"Nasa resto parin sila," Gaddiel stated.

"Sabi nila mag-hotel tayo?" I said, trying to sound serious.

Tumango-tango si Gaddiel. I pursed my lips.

Agad kaming nag check in.
