Something about the evening didn't sit right anymore.

It's peaceful tranquility was stripped bare as even the lights which lit their way seemed to watch their every move. It was erased, eradicated by the constant grind of eyes boring into their movements. Their every step as they escaped from the dorm building and marched down the pavement. Whispers already began to swirl around them, other students who had been roaming in the evening sprinting from one building to another as a certain name circulated; 'Jisung', 'Jisung', his name was as spat as foul in their mouths as the blood Hyunjin feasted on. Like a swear which told the evening sun to wake you closer. Or a curse that called the shadows to swarm around their feet, called the clawed hands to grab hold and pull you into their realm.

The rumors seemed to move faster than they did.

As they slipped between the academic buildings, shying away from the open pathways and busy walkways running with shouts of 'police' and 'murderer', Seungmin grabbed the back of Hyunjin's uniform blazer. He pinched the fabric in his grip, tugging on the vampire to slow down as he peered around the rigid body and asked, "Is your hand okay?"

"It's fine," Hyunjin answered. He lifted the hand for the other to inspect; The large gash torn down the center of the palm where the scissor blade accidentally sliced trenched into him, a flushed color collecting around the exposed tendons; The furious red dripping and drying from the gash as it slid down the numb extension of his fingers, a red ichor swelling in places the blood hadn't yet spilled from; The numb sensation that protected him soaking into quenching throbs pulsating the whole of his hand, each pound more vicious than the last, growing louder in his palm until he felt as if the beats would burst the skin open with the seething burning. He grabbed his wrist, the intense pulse radiating underneath his fingertips as he bit back a sob, "Really, I'll be fine. Don't worry."

Seungmin's arrogant gaze hardened as he stared at the laceration. He unbuttoned the neatly done blazer and pulled the jacket off his shoulders as they walked along the pathway, folding it over a few times before grabbing onto the vampire's wrist and violently tugging him across. He wrapped the hand in the folded blazer, using the blue fabric to wick up the red as he squeezed down. Hyunjin swallowed the spike of pain that came along with it, suffocating the roar that wanted to fly from his throat with light 'Thanks' to the human. Seungmin kept his hand clenches down as he started, "There's still so much we need to know;

"We know now Naberius passed notes to Jisung, his accomplice. The note I grabbed looked like the paper from my notebook. That means Naberius was the one who snagged my notebook, wrote a note, then discarded the notebook," Seungmin started to explain. He let go of the uniform blazer, strutting forward with powerful steps to leave Hyunjin in charge of his own bleeding hand as he reiterated, "He probably threatened Jisung because Jisung became a hassle after Changbin's attack. It makes sense now. It feels like we've been led to Jisung because we were being led to him; Naberius has been trying to get rid of Jisung for a while now. He was trying to get him caught."

Hyunjin nodded as he listened to the other.

He shifted his gaze to the cement walkways behind them.

A light noise followed them, though he couldn't tell where it was coming from.

Seungmin continued to charge on, "That means Felix wasn't lying when he was cruel to Jisung. He had reason to be upset with him, if he learned that his... Ex... Was a part of a serial case."

"I don't trust Minho alone with him," Hyunjin murmured as he shifted himself back to the information blazer folded around his palm. The fabric began to lose it's texture, turning to a puddled mush of sopping wet in the drench of red. He didn't even know a hand could bleed as much as his was.
