Jeongin jogged over to the vampire, a wide smile on his features as he came to a halt in front of him and handed over the stack of papers he clutched tightly in his hands, "Here. This is what you needed?"
Carefully, Hyunjin pressed off his position leaned up against one of the many brick pillars of the academy's academic buildings to close the distance between him and Jeongin. His arms unfurled from their knot tied firmly over his chest, their boned structure stretching languidly from their compressed deadlock, a thought in the back of his mind reminding his muscles to move as smoothly as possible. Like a cobra unfurling from it's tightly bound coils as it prepared to strike. He let his expression remain neutralized from any outward emotion as he nodded a timid response and reached out a fluid hand, his fingers pinching at the stack of papers presented to him as if they were an invaluable gift. Without another glance at the other vampire, he plucked the papers and brought him into his line of sight.
He purposefully ignored their proximity, purposefully disregarded how close Jeongin was to him, and purposefully tossed the fact the younger was holding his breath to the back of his mind. From the corner of his eyes, he could make out the faintest heat dusting on his puffed cheeks.
Scorning Jeongin's each and every feeling melting him around the older's fingers, Hyunjin flipped through the stack of papers. He checked their dates, the names, quickly raking through as much of the few records as he was able to in order to ensure that what the younger brought to him were the copies Seungmin had been looking for. Copies, because the originals seemed to have disappeared from the security room. How Jeongin managed to wiggle his hands on to the copies, or how he managed to take them from the office without any clear suspicion, was a mystery to Hyunjin. But, as long as he was able to do so, it hardly mattered. As long as he was useful to him, and more importantly, as long as he was useful to Seungmin, the methods both him and Jeongin used could be overlooked.
Even if that "method" was, purposefully asking someone who blatantly had a crush on him to do a task which could result in expulsion if caught.
Somehow, Hyunjin couldn't find it in himself to feel guilty.
He simply let a fond smile pull back on his fangs as he confirmed, "This is it."
"It's a weird request," Jeongin immediately dropped his gaze to the ground as he commented. More of that pink was on his features. His hands came to shove themselves in the pockets of his navy blazer, their fisted forms pressing tensely on the fabric to distract himself with the strange movements it created. He probed, "What do you need them for?"
"A project for my civics class," Hyunjin answered easily.
It seemed to be enough of an excuse for the younger to accept without another question. Either that, or, Jeongin maintained a high faith in the validity of the older's every word. Because, of course, the soft-spoken and gentle Hyunjin couldn't lie to his friends. He would never purposefully use them or their feelings, and if he had, it was obviously because he was oblivious to them. Nothing more, nothing less.
Good.
Hyunjin looked back to the papers in his hands.
Believe that for a while longer.
He tossed the front page over the other, the white of the paper crinkling around the staple barely holding them together as his hands clamped down on the packet. Hurriedly, and without a care for the other waiting patiently for some sort of acclaim, his eyes began to raked over the seemingly endless list of student names. Some names familiar and others completely recognizable, he read every syllable and each comment which had been set by their names. He searched for a few in particular buried amongst the other statistics blotted out or marked off as this or that, here or there, present or not, none of them truly stood out to him aside from the three he was attempting to find in the sea of letters before he was forced to hand the dorm records over to a certain detective wannabe that was as infectious in his mind as a fungus.
