I had drifted off for a couple of hours, and eventually stirred awake for a moment, my eyes fluttering open.

Levi's light was still on. His eyes met mine.

"You know you snore?" Levi said. I couldn't tell if he was joking.

"No I don't, you asshole..." I said, messing around, my voice groggy from sleep.

That's when I noticed he was done with his book. Had he been watching me sleep? That wasn't a very Levi thing to do.

Eventually he turned out his light, the room almost pitch black. The moon was now low in the sky, indicating that morning would soon come.

Poor thing, he really can't sleep...

He laid down completely on his back, and huffed a little bit.

"Just relax..." I said, my eyes slowly drifting off again.

"Easy for you to say." Levi retorted.

He turned on his side abruptly, now facing me.

I forced my eyes open, to see what he was doing. His head rested on his arm, as he gave me a expressionless, but pouty look. What a cutie.

"What is it? Wanna cuddle?" I said joking once again.

"No." He said.

"Ouch." I said. "C'mon, that wasn't very husband of you." I knew sarcastic humor would be the way to his heart, even though it would take some time.

This felt like the longest we had looked at each other in a long time, but it was nice. As my eyes adjusted to the darkness, his deep blue eyes softly twinkled in the low light of the room, and I was okay if he didn't want to close them. They were pretty to look at.

A strand of hair fell onto his face, after huffing in annoyance once again.

"Shhh, relax." I said calmly, as I took my hand and tucked the hair that had fallen back and away from his face. All I wanted to do was ease him.

As my hand pushed his hair back, I let it softly caress his face as it made it's way down, his eyes closed as it did.

That's when I decided to get closer to him. I nuzzled my way in, my head fitting perfectly below his chin, and my arm wrapping around his back. I could tell he went tense for a bit, but then he adjusted himself, so that his chin rested on my head, and his arm wrapped around me too.

I gave him a gentle squeeze, and lightly rubbed his back. Hange and Erwin's voice replayed in my head, the memory of them telling me that Levi needed me was what forced me to be this way.

I laid there, feeling his breath as slowly, it calmed. I could feel his tranquil heartbeat, and soon realized he had fallen asleep.

I guess that's what he needed, just someone to be there for him...

Eventually I fell asleep too, the nerves and anticipation of the night now far behind me.

After a couple of more hours of sleep, I finally woke up. Even though I didn't move, I was startled by a man being in my bed. Once again, I knew that would take some getting used to. When I finally remembered where I was, I noticed Levi was still fast asleep, which warmed my heart.

The bright light of the morning sun glistened on his hair, as he calmly breathed, his body barely moving.

He's having peaceful dreams... I thought to myself, grateful he had had a restful night.

I didn't want to wake him, but I knew we both had to get ready for our day. Even though it was technically our honeymoon, duty still called.

We didn't have missions for a while, but he still had business to attend to, and I was in the middle of running some important tests for Hange, so we needed to get up.

"Good morning..." I said quietly as I softly rubbed his back again, his eyes opening slowly. I knew he was a light sleeper.

"Did ya sleep good?" I whispered.

He took a deep breath as he rubbed his eyes, sitting up in the bed.

"Yeah...I actually did." He said in his morning voice.

Even though he wasn't looking at me, I watched him. He got out of the bed and went into our bathroom, as I laid there, thinking about our first night together. I thought about where my feelings were, and truthfully, in just a day, I was falling for him fast.

It helped that he was complying with my advancements, so maybe he was too. I didn't know for sure.

I finally got up and went into the bathroom as well. He was brushing his teeth, so I did the same. I brushed my hair, and he walked out, no words were exchanged.

As I washed my face, I heard him setting a pot to boil. I got dressed while he wasn't in the room and then met him in the kitchen, two cups of tea sitting at the table. He was already dressed as well.

"Busy day today?" I asked, trying to break the tension.

"Yeah, probably. We still don't know what we're going to do with Eren. Annie is still in that weird crystal..." Levi explained.

"I've done some tests on the crystal, it's made from something that we aren't familiar with. Hange loves that stuff, but to be honest, I can't stand looking at that girl..."

Levi and I locked eyes again. He knew my anger was justified, but he was better at suppressing that anger, unlike me.

"Thank you, for calming me down last night..." Levi said, looking down at his tea.

"Oh, yeah of course." I said, smiling at him.

"I probably will be sent off on a mission soon." He said. He really sucked at small talk.

"Yeah, I figured." I said as I sighed. "You know I'm gonna tell Erwin he owes us a honeymoon. He really screwed us."

"Ha, you idiot."

Levi and I cleaned up our breakfast and we walked out of the house. We walked to the Corp office, the morning air brisk, but nice.

"I'll see you tonight." Levi said, as we parted ways.

"See you then." I said as I smiled back.
