The next couple of nights came and went, following the same pattern as the first. I generally made it home before Levi, so I would cook something for the both of us and wait for him to get back.Today though, I decided to journal before getting dinner ready.

Well, I am now officially (y/n) Ackerman, just like I said I'd be in my last entry. Being a wife has had me pretty busy, so I haven't had time to write my thoughts much. I don't really want Levi knowing about this journal, so I'll probably just write in private.
Usually, Mother and Father always get me a new journal for my birthday, so that I have one for each year of my life, but they bought me a brand new, elegant one as a wedding gift, since I'm in a new chapter.
So, here's my first entry.
The wedding was beautiful. So many people came to celebrate us, and it was very special. Mother found out about this whole ordeal being arranged, but I think she's come around to the idea. Yesterday, we received our wedding gifts from my parents before they left back for home, and I don't think they would've spoiled Levi the way they did if they didn't like him.
They gifted him a journal as well, along with some special edition books from Orvud, as well as a tea set, that I could tell Levi really liked.
But truthfully, that was one of the few things I knew about him. I hoped that I'd get to know more about him within the first couple days of us living under the same roof, but that hasn't been the case.
He is gentle with me, and he always keeps me in mind, but I don't know anything about who he is as person, all I know is how he is as a captain.
Sure, I'm aware that he likes everything to be clean and he holds his tea cup in a weird way, but other than that, there's not much.
I noticed he does like to read, and Hange told me he's from the Underground, but that's it...
I hope soon, that one day he'll really open up to me.
Once I got done, I buried the journal in my nightstand in the small cabinet underneath other finished books I had, hoping Levi would never find it. I figured he'd find it odd that I kept a diary at my age, so I wanted to keep it between the journal and I.
He got home a little while later, and we ate dinner together.
He was extra chatty tonight, which for a normal person, would be a typical amount of speech, but regardless, I enjoyed it.
"How are your parents doing?" He asked. He didn't get to see them yesterday when they came by.
"They were in a great mood yesterday. I'm sure they made it back Orvud okay. I'll write them tonight, and send a letter out in the morning."
Levi nodded, as he finished up his dinner.
"Levi?" I said after a moment of silence.
"Hm?" He said, cocking his eyebrow slightly as he looked at me.
"What about you? You haven't ever told me about your...family." I whimpered. I wanted to know so bad. I mean I was now his wife, so I didn't feel like I was prodding too much. But I figured it couldn't be the brightest story.
"Funny you ask..." Levi started as he wiped his face, pushing his empty plate away from him.
He shuffled his seat to face me better, as I gave him my full attention.
"My mother was a sex worker in the Underground. She got knocked up and had me. But then, she died of a disease when I was young."
Fuck...why did I even ask?
"Levi...I'm so sorry." I said, giving him a pout. Even though I didn't know him well, him explaining made me feel like I was listening to someone that I had known forever. My heart hurt deeply for him. "I wish I hadn't asked." I admitted.
"It's alright. You are my wife. It's okay for you to know these things, even if they are shitty." He said.
You are my wife... That sounded good coming out of his mouth.
"Which reminds me, I'll probably be outside the walls of Orvud within the next week. We have reason to suspect the real king is up to no good."
"In Orvud?" I asked, worried.
"Don't worry. I know your parents just got back home, but I sent a request to get them brought back. They can stay here in town, while I'm gone, just in case."
"Thank you." I told him, as I grabbed his hand that was on the table, squeezing it gently.
I hated that he'd have to leave, and I wouldn't really know when he'd come back, but I knew he was durable.
He eventually grabbed my plate and cleaned the kitchen, while I looked over papers and results Hange had set aside for me to look at in my spare time.
It ended up getting really late, and both Levi and I were still pretty wide awake, just like usual. After my bath, I laid down in bed and wrote to my parents, making up some lie about why they had to come to Ehrmich, just in case the letter got lost in the mail.
Levi and I had our usual cup of tea before bed, and eventually, I began to get sleepy.
"I'm checking out early tonight, surprisingly." I told him. The longer I went without going on a mission, the less nightmares I had, which for a change, was nice.
"Goodnight." He told me, just like all the other past nights. But this time, he closed his book and turned his light out too.
"You're sleepy too?" I said, confused.
"Yeah, I actually am." He said. It was probably like 2 in the morning, but that was early for him.
He leaned in, close to me, pausing right before his lips touched mine, and then eventually closed to gap between us.
We actually hadn't kissed since our first night together, since I was still shy about it, and he was too, but this one was more sensual than the last. I brought my hand up to his face, holding his sharp jaw as he wrapped his arms around my body and pushed me up close to him, almost bringing me up on top of him.
I ran my hands through his hair, trying not to overthink the situation and just letting my hands go wherever. We kissed for a little bit longer, as the urge to tease him with my tongue eventually took control of the situation.
And to my surprise, he followed. We softly explored our mouths for just a little bit longer, until it felt right to pull away.
"Sorry." Levi said, not looking into my eyes.
"You don't have to apologize for that." I said, trying to sound cute.
"I'll let you get some sleep." He said, as he unwrapped his arms from my waist. I didn't want him to let go, but he did, and I knew if I said something it'd sound weird, so I refrained.
I turned around to get comfortable, and chose to lay on my side, facing away from him, when once again, I felt his arms wrap around me. I grabbed onto one of his arms, squeezing him to know I enjoyed it, and let myself fall asleep in his arms...
