Chapter 9: Battle of Trost Part 1

Y/n thoughts: "Huh... oh I'm in this place again." He was in his dream state again. He was expecting to see his eyeless mom come out but something felt different today.

This time two small children came running out. They both looked poor and both had massive cuts over their throats.

Y/n: "Hey!! Who are you and why are you in my head??" Y/n didn't even know these kids. He thought they could be a mix between people he knew but even they didn't look like them.

Two children: "When the time is right you'll know if you have to save us." They were pointing to the blade that was now in your hand.

Y/n: "Who even are you??" He didn't get any answers from them. He just shot up awake. He was sweating even more than usual. You realised this was the day that the invasion of Trost would happen.

Y/n thoughts:" I'm so sorry this was put on you guys. I guess I'll find a way to help you if I can." You made up your mind about helping them. You knew that you might have to kill people but it didn't impact you as that much as you thought.

Y/n thoughts:" I should probably talk to Annie and the other three before what happens today. Maybe it's better if I tell them."

Annie's POV:

Annie woke up before y/n did. Annie had too much on her mind to sleep. Annie walked to the woods where they would have ODM gear training. Annie never admitted it but she liked being here. For that short amount of peace, she had.

Annie walked deeper and deeper into the woods until she happened to come across an opening in the woods. Annie walked around the area till she noticed a marking on the tree opposite where she entered. They were strange cuts like someone was slashing at the tree.

Annie's thoughts: "Hmmm... is it the ODM blades?? Someone got angry. But they seem too big to be the blades we use to kill titans." Before she could do any more investigating she heard someone call out her name.

She turned around to see y/n was looking for her. She still blushes when she sees him. Especially after last night's events. She didn't know if she could look at him.

Y/n POV:"

Y/n: "Annie!! Annie you here!!" You shouted to see if she was around here. Someone back at the camp told you she walked this way.

Y/n: "Annie!!" You jumped as you felt someone's arms around your waist. You turned around to see a small beautiful figure with a very pretty smile.

Annie:" I'm here y/n." Annie sarcastically said this.

Y/n: "Ah there you are. I want to talk to you about what's happening today." She let go of your waist and her smile quickly disappeared.

Y/n thoughts: "Didn't know you were so affected by this Annie. Wish I could help more."

Annie: "Yeah it's gonna be a hard one." She went back to the emotionless state that she normally had.

Y/n: "You feeling alright??"

Annie: "Yeah I guess. Wish I didn't have to do this though." You saw a tear fall down her cheek. You wiped it away with your sleeve and smiled at her.

Y/n:" I can't imagine what it feels like to do this. I'm sorry." You sat down at the stump of a tree that used to be there.

Annie sat next to you and put her head on your lap. She was tired from her lack of sleep last night.

Annie: "Y/n..."

Y/n: "Yeah Annie??"

Annie: "Please don't die on me."

Y/n: "Why would I do that? You're too good to lose." This made her smile a bit but she still had that sad expression on her face.
