Chapter 12:Battle to retake Trost

You and the others were all put on the distraction team while Mikasa went with the elite squad to protect Eren. You were able to get a quick word in with Reiner and Berthold just before the mission.

Y/n: "Hey Reiner!!Berthold!!" They turned around to see you heading in their direction.

Reiner: "What's up y/n??" You got closer to them at this point.

Y/n: "You two better not die out there. You wanna go home don't you??"

Reiner: "Yeah we do."

Y/n: "Well Erens going to join the survey corps so I'm gonna guess you two will go there." They both looked at you and wondered what you meant."Well, the truth is sometimes we have to get our hands dirty to get what we want am I right??"

Berthold: "Yeah I guess you are." There was a silence between you 3 before you turned around and began to get into your position. You said something just before you fully left.

Y/n:" Well if you ever need my help with anything then you can just ask." You then proceeded to leave and get into your position. You were placed on the ground and had to draw any titans closer to the wall.

Y/n thoughts: "I wonder if Reiner and Berthold will try to stop Eren from plugging up the hole in the wall. It wouldn't be the best thing to do tactical as they would be exposing themselves."

After a while, you headed back up to the top of the wall and regrouped with the other cadets. As you landed on top you went over to them to see how their missions were going.

Y/n: "Any issues on your guy's end??"

Marco: "No it's been pretty smooth sailing so far. Good idea from you Armin!!"

Armin: "Well the missions are not done yet. Any word from the elite squad??" We all heard a flare go off in the distance. We saw they that the red signal meant that the elite squad had failed."How did they fail?" Armin started to head towards the smoke to see what was going on.

Marco: "Armin wait!!"

Y/n: "Let him do what he has to do ok. He has something in mind so let him do it. We have a job to do." You walked away without a word and jumped down the wall.

You spotted an 11-meter abnormal that was going after a group of the garrison regiment soldiers. You dispatched it with one slash to the nape and proceeded to kill a 4-meter titan further down the street. You prefer to do the one shot to the nape strategy. You thought that going after the limbs was a waste of time.

As you were going around seeing for any other titans you saw Annie standing on a roof in the distance.

Y/n thoughts: "What the hell are you doing there Annie??"

Annie's POV:

Annie: "What...what's going on Reiner??"

Marco: "Help me, Annie, please!! Reiners went crazy!!"

Reiner: "He overheard me and Berthold talking. We can't leave him alive or he'll tell."

Annie: "Why Marco??"

Reiner: "You need to take off his ODM gear!!"

Annie: "Why me?!"

Reiner: "You saved Connie later and you've been close with y/n. It appears to me that you're becoming sympathetic to the enemy." Annie just stood there and looked at Marco. She was going to do what Reiner told her to do. Just before she was going to do it she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see that it was you.

Annie: "What you doing here y/n??"

Y/n: "Saving you from any more grief." You had zero emotion as you said that and walked to a confused Marco, Reiner and Berthold.
