Chapter 10: Battle of Trost part 2

Annie let go of you and began to look around. She realised that everyone was looking at you guys and got embarrassed.

Y/n: "You're cute when you worry you know that." You smiled at Annie as she looked up blushing.

Annie: "Well you better not make me worried again alright!!"

Y/n: "Yeah yeah no worries." You bent down and whispered in her ear, "After this is over we should spend some of that 'alone' time together."

Annie realised you were talking about what you guys did the day before and blushed heavily. She looked away from everyone so they couldn't see her face.

Y/n: "Hey Reiner where's Eren's squad!!"

Reiner: "I don't know. Armin is over there though." You looked over to see Armin slumped over at the wall. You walked over to him to see if he was alright.

Even though he was weak on the battlefield and his ideals pissed you off. He was still a genius and a genuine person.

Y/n: "Hey Armin you alright?? Where are Eren and the others??" He just looked up to you with tears in his eyes.

Armin: "They're all dead!! Mina Carolina, Thomas Wagner and Eren Yeager!! They fought and died and the field of battle!!" You put your hand on his shoulder to calm him down.

Y/n: "Well the truth is this Armin. You are here and alive right now. That's what matters. If you cry and cry over the past then you won't be able to move on. Your intelligence would be better than anything Eren could have contributed. That's the truth. I will miss him as much as the rest of us. But if you just cry and let yourself die, then just die. But don't bring us down with you. You stay strong for me and the others. Mikasa will need you so she can move on and find a new meaning in life ok." You said all of this with no emotion whatsoever. It appeared to affect everyone.

Armin stood up with determination by your words and realised that he had to fight.

Armin: "It's ironic y/n." You turned around and looked at him with confusion.

Y/n: "What do you mean??"

Armin: "You sounded just like Eren just then. Maybe you are just as idealistic as the rest of us." This comment angered you a bit but realised why he would come to think of you like that.

Y/n: "Maybe I do have an ideal Armin. But I'm not as single-minded and stupidly naive as he was." After you said that you felt a sharp pain across your face.

Y/n: "What the hell." You looked up to see Mikasa in her normal stoic expression. She looked pissed off with your statement.

Mikasa: "Don't speak ill of the dead y/n." She was pissed off that you called in naive. You don't blame her but hitting you wasn't necessary.

Annie walked over to you to see if Ymir were alright.

Annie: "You ok y/n."

Y/n: "Yeah I'm alright." Mikasa pulled her blade out and pointed it right at Annie's throat pinning her to the ground.

Reiner: "Wow Mikasa calm down!!"

Marco: "Mikasa calm we don't want anything bad to happen!!"

Mikasa: "Everyone just shut up!! Y/n you wouldn't understand why he's so important to me. You always criticised Eren and Armin for their views. So let's see if you can still be so closed off if someone you loved died!!" She pushed her blade closer to Annie's throat.

Y/n: "You're so stupid Mikasa you know that. I've always wanted to say that. You are just a slave to someone who never loved you. He never would. If you knew Eren as well as you say then you should know that he wanted everyone to be free. But the truth is that you are just a slave. So if you couldn't see why he didn't love you back it was because you were never truly free. I lost my mom when I was just a kid. Made me fight for my life and kill at a young age. I guess you know what's that like."
