Chapter 38:Uneasy Alliance

Conny POV:

Conny's thoughts: "How exactly do I get my mom to eat Falco?? Just do it by force?? If he's hurt and finds out about his Titan powers, it's over. I can't afford to fail. I've gotta think of a better way. What an innocent kid. He hasn't whined once about camping out here with every reason to doubt me. Does he seriously trust me?? Dammit!! Sasha...Would you have understood??"

Timeskip:

Ragako Village:

Falco: "Um, I thought we were going to a hospital, not a deserted village."

Conny: "Yeah. There's something interesting here I wanna show you." Conny stopped the horse by a fence and helped Falco off. Falco walked over to a large building with a white cloth over it.

Falco: "This...is Ragako village." Conny turned and looked at Falco.

Conny: "Eh?? How do you...know that??"

Falco: "Last night, I heard you talking to yourself. Sasha was your comrade shot by Gabi on the airship, wasn't she?? You brought me here knowing who I was but pretending not to. Why?? To get revenge...on me??"

Conny: "No. Stuff like that happens in the heat of battle." Conny walked past Falco and grabbed one end of the massive cloth. He proceeded to move the large cloth and show Falco his mother's pure titan.

Falco:*gasp*

Conny: "Don't worry. It can't move. It's been like this for years."

Falco: "What...we're you gonna do...after showing me this??" Conny looked down at the frightened face of Falco.

Conny: "Can you help me brush the Titan's teeth?? You don't get a chance like this every day." Falco looked a Conny with confusion as he held two brushes.

Falco: "Huh??"

Conny: "We've gotta go way up there to brush. Let's climb and take a look. Sounds good, right??"

Falco: "Right..." The noise of Horse footsteps could be heard as Armin and Gabi came running into the village.

Gabi: "Falco!! Get away from him!!"

Falco: "Gabi?!"

Gabi: "He's gonna feed you to the Titan!!"

Falco: "Huh?!" The noise of the blades coming out of Conny's holders could be heard behind Falco.

Armin: "Conny!! Stop!!"

Conny: "Stay back!! Don't come near us!!" Gabi and Armin stopped their horses and jumped off them.

Armin: "Conny!!"

Conny: "Shaddap!! I don't wanna hear it!! Don't talk!! You wouldn't get it!! You're just gonna say to give up on my mom and let him live!! A know-it-all wouldn't get how idiots work!!"

Gabi: "Falco!! Use the Jaw's power!!" Conny began making his way up the ladder while holding Falco.

Falco: "The Jaw's power?? Huh?? What about Galliard??"

Gabi: "You can't... stop!! Falco!!" Armin gritted his teeth and thought about what Commander Erwin would do.

Armin: "Gabi, please forgive Conny." Armin shot out his hooks on his ODM gear and landed on top of a pillar above the Pure titan.

Conny: "Hey!! I said to stay back!! Hey!! What are you doing?! Say something, Armin!!"

Armin: "You told me not to talk!! So...I'll let my actions talk." Armin jumped off the pillar forcing Conny to drop Falco and save Armin.

Sometime later:

Conny: "What was your plan if I hadn't saved you??"

Armin: "To turn your mom back into a human."
