[DISCONTINUED] No Straight Roads x Monster Hunter Rise

-CHAPTER TWO: Ways of the Hunter-

Tatiana lead BBJ back to NSR Tower. Here was where their training begins.

"Back to NSR tower?" Mayday asked. "Correct." Tatiana replied almost instantly. "What are we doing back here?"

"Bunk Bed Junction, I believe you two know Kliff. Is that correct?"

"Yes, Elder Tatiana."

"Good. I will go fetch him for you. Just be patient, alright?"

"Okay, Elder."

Tatiana, her arms still behind her back, strolled to the elevator. Mayday and Zuke took a seat.

As they waited patiently, Mayday fingered at the red tassels on her exquisite armor. "This armor," Mayday began. "It's a little revealing." She pushed the skirt down.

"I don't think it looks revealing." Zuke replied, giving her a side glance.

"Well of course it doesn't look revealing to you."

Suddenly the elevator door opened, two figures emerging. One of the figures being Tatiana and the other, a male, they've definitely seen before.

"Kliff, Mayday and Zuke are the newest additions to the NSR Guild."

"Ah, it's you two kids!" The older male greeted BBJ. "It's been a while, has it?"

"Kinda." Mayday replied.

"You fell unconscious two days ago," Kliff said. Mayday gave Kliff a confused look. "Wait what?"

"Two days ago—when Elder Tatiana gave you the title of a certified hunter—you passed out. It was most likely because you got overwhelmed."

"Oh." Mayday rubbed the back of her head. "That explains a lot."

Kliff cleared his throat. "I was summoned by Elder Tatiana to help carry your weapons." As he finished, Tatiana clapped twice, two workers carrying two distinct types of weapons. In one of the worker's arms was a massive, sword type object. In another's were two identical blades.

The workers approached Mayday and Zuke, bowing down while raising the weapons to them. Both picked up their weapons, the workers backing away.

"Woah!" Mayday's weapon tipped on on side, making her stumble. "Easy there, May. Wouldn't want you to get hurt."

"Alright Kliff. Mayday and Zuke are all yours now. Take good care of them." Tatiana trodded back to her office.

"Mayday, Zuke, do you two know what you have in your hands at this moment?" Kliff asked. "Erm, no." Mayday stared up at her weapon, which was towering over her.

Kliff chuckled, "Mayday, your weapon is the Great Sword. And Zuke, yours are the Dual Blades."

"Nifty." Zuke replied, examining his Dual Blades. "What do these do?"

"The Great Sword is slightly heavy, but does a great deal of damage." Kliff spoke. "And the Dual Blades are light and excellent for slashing monsters."

"So," Mayday began, "Are you gonna teach us how to use them, or?-"

"Unfortunately, I am no hunter." Kliff sighed. "However, Elder Tatiana has agreed to let her righthand woman train you."

"Say what?"

"What I'm saying is, Eve will be your instructor."

"Eve?"

"Yes. She is waiting for you at Evenfall Gallery, the place of training. Hurry now, you mustn't keep her waiting."

"Ewah!" DK West shouted from afar. "Going to train at last?"
