"You'll always have those awkward moments in high school where you're alone, your friends aren't there with you, you have to find a seat somewhere by yourself, or you just can't find your way and you don't know anyone.
But I'm telling you now to embrace those moments if they ever come. Whenever you feel uncomfortable, that's a moment that you will look back on! When you get older and look back on the awkward times do you want to see yourself alone and afraid? Or putting yourself out there and being confident?
I hope that you will look back and see yourself as being confident in those uncomfortable moments."
This ^^ is what they told me the summer before I started high school. I was sure that I'd be able to accomplish this. I had a plan. I wanted to make new friends, talk to strangers, and be confident in the way I acted. I was surprised that it was harder than I thought.
I guess in life you just have to take little steps. You want to be confident? Start out small, you can't change the world in one day, it's progression.
