Part 22: Jump and Fall

ERIS' POV

Adi and I have been using the jetski for I think almost 20 minutes. I know our experience is about to end since 10 minutes nalang ang meron kami kaya I felt a bit sad dahil mukhang mahihirapan nanaman akong makakuha ng time kasama siya.

Una, dahil baka mag bonding sila nung friends niya lang, alone. Pangalawa, baka may paganap si manong Gab either tonight or tomorrow night na narinig ko lang kay Caden at Emil. And pangatlo, baka naman gusto rin ni Adi na magka meron siya ng time alone with herself.

In those 20 minutes of riding the jetski with Adi, just circling around the island, I felt nothing but peace. Napapaligiran na nga ako ng dagat at sobrang gandang view, kasama ko pa yung taong mahal ko. Hay, I just hope time can stop even for just a few minutes.

"Eris, are you okay?" Adi asked dahil hinigpitan ko bigla yung yakap ko sa kanya.

"More than okay." I said and hugged her tighter. Bigla namang itinigil ni Adi ang pagddrive ng jetski sa kalagitnaan mismo ng dagat na may kalayuan din sa main beach kung nasaan ang mga kaibigan namin.

Nang maitigil naman niya, she turned around and sat right in front of me.

"Oh? Bakit tayo tumigil?" I asked.

"Wala lang, I just want to enjoy the view bago tayo bumaba." I blushed in an instant dahil nang sabihin ang mga salitang yon, she was looking straight to me.

"We only have a few minutes left, Adi. I just want to thank you for sparing some time to be with me. I know na kaya naman talaga tayo nandito to bond with our friends pero wala lang, naappreciate ko lang na nagka time tayo na tayo lang." I said and smiled.

"Can I ask a question?" She asked.

"Nagtatanong ka na." Pagbibiro ko naman kaya medyo natawa siya.

"So, if you were given a chance, would you rather sit at peace by the beach or explore the whole island but for only an hour and a half?"

"Wow, pageant?" Pagbibiro ko naman.

"Charot, eto na. I think I would rather explore the whole island even if it is just for an hour and a half. Hindi ko na kasi alam kung makakabalik pa ako dito given that pagbalik ng Manila back to reality nanaman so ngayong andito na, why not grab the opportunity to experience the place fully?" I answered.

Adi did not spoke or reply to what I just said, what she did was to turn back at me and started the jetski again.

"Babalik na ba tayo?" I said as I positioned my hands again around her waist.

"No." She said.

"What? Magkaka penalty tayo kapag lumampas tayo ng 30 minutes." I said dahil totoo namang mapapabayad kami ng malaki if ever.

"Just relax, Amorelle. I am just about to grant your wish." She said and drove the jetski fast enough for us to vanish in front of the main beach.

"Adi! Bawal 'to!" I kept on telling Adi for us to go back dahil for sure it's been 30 minutes since we used the jetski and ang alam ko bawal kaming umikot, dapat dito lang sa harap.
