Part 29: Batangas

ADI'S POV

"Can we move at the back?" Eris asked. I am seated on the driver's seat while she's just beside me on the passanger seat.

She said this all of a sudden when I was browsing my social media accounts and while she was studying for the Bar. Sobrang aga naming dumating dito sa testing center, we were like 3 hours early so Eris spent the past 2 hours studying inside the car. Ako naman, I'm trying my best to be quiet and not do stuffs that will distract her.

"Why?" I asked.

"Bumaba ka nalang." Eris said and went out of the car to transfer to the seats at the back. The way she slammed the door was like she was in a hurry. Parang natataranta at di mapakali sa sobrang lakas ng pagkakasara ng pinto. I followed her immediately to ask her about what's wrong.

"May problema ba?" I sat beside her at the back seat and faced her as I asked.

"Just shut up and kiss me."

I smiled, and right there and then, we kissed me. We made out for a couple of minutes but I stopped it when she was about to take off my top.

I gave her a long kiss before moving my face away, "gets ko na."

"Ang alin?" Eris asked.

"You're stressed and you think us doing that thing will lessen it."

"Hindi ba pwedeng gusto ko nalang talaga na gawin 'to ngayon?" Eris said and smiled, trying to lean towards me to kiss me again.

I stopped her lips with my index finger and said, "halika nga dito, mahal."

We fixed how we sat and moved closer beside each other. I told Eris to rest her head on my shoulder and she did. Then, I side hugged her and rubbed her arm to try and calm her down.

"15 minutes." Eris reminded herself dahil kailangan na niyang pumila at pumasok ng testing center maya maya lang.

"Wag mo namang iperfect ah, malian mo mga dalawa." Pagbibiro ko dito and heard her giggle. "Joke lang, tinatry ko lang na pangitiin ka. Masyado nanamang stressed ang mahal ko na 'to e."

Eris wrapped her arms around my waist, "I'm scared. What if hindi ako makapasa? Ano nalang ang sasabihin sakin nina mama? At ano nalang din ang matitira kong bilib sa sarili ko?"

"It's normal for you to be scared, I felt it too before taking the PLE. You have feelings so own that feeling of being scared and use it to push yourself to be the best that it could be. If you are scared before a fight, so what? Then fight scared. Lumaban ka para sa sarili mo, sa pangarap mo at sa iba pang mga dahilan kung bakit umabot ka sa kung nasaan ka na ngayon."

"I'm very, super, sagad hanggang langit, proud of you." I kissed Eris' forehead.

I felt that she tightened her hug and we just stayed silent as we waited for the last 10 minutes before she lines up. I didn't let her go to at least give her comfort and peace.

After 10 minutes, Eris went out of our hug and so did  I. She organized what she will bring inside the testing center and when she did, she went out of the car and I transferred back to the driver's seat.

She walked away from the car but she came walking back outside my door.

I lowered my window and asked, "yes?"

"Bakit hindi ka pa umaalis?" She asked.

"I'll be waiting for you."

"For 7 hours?!"
