Ada had found a small little wooden box with leftover pieces of Diamond, Erik had taken up cutting diamonds with Christine. "Why would you have diamonds when they weren't for Christine?" Ada questioned holding the sliver of glistening rock between her fingers and looking at it against the candle. Eriks legs began to shake and his heart rate exploded. "Your looking a little pale" Ada pointed out "are you feeling ok?"
"Yes I'm fine, Ada....?"
"What Erik?" Erik reached into his pocket the little item was still there he fingered it, "Ada, come to America with me." He was trembling as he knelt down in front of her. "I don't want to live a second without you. You are my love, my life, you give me hope to live through each day." Ada was in tears her hands clasped over her mouth. Erik was having trouble focusing on her, he felt light headed as his heart pounded in his ears. "Ada will you marry me?"
Ada dropped to here he was kneeling joyous tears streaming down her cheeks. Erik wrapped his thin arms around her waist pulling her to him, her soft lips met his their hot breath on each others skin the porcelain mask brushed against Ada's cheek gently she slipped it off of him and placed her hand on his bumpy disfigured cheek. Erik ran his lean fingers through her dusted blond hair. He pulled away from the kiss her honey and lemon scent still lingering with him. Slowly Erik pulled a diamond ring from his pocket and slid it on Ada's finger. Ada looked down as gasped her emerald eyes sparkled, "Erik! It's beautiful."
The ring was shaped as a silver rose embedded with delicate little diamonds and a larger one in the center. Rainbows circled through it. "You made this?"
Erik nodded kissing her again his lips lingering down her neck sending chills down her spine.
"I'll make a fire." Erik stated standing up and reaching his hand to help Ada up. Erik turned to the fireplace and made a fire. "What did you want from down here?" Ada asked rubbing his shoulders as he threw a log in the fire. "The tin container over there" he gestured to his desk. Ada walked to the desk and opened the box, " it should be enough money to get us started." Ada packed up the money in a box as well as some other things she wanted or knew Erik would want soon.
"Should we get back?" Ada yawned giving him another delicate kiss. The touch made him tremble "Yes we probably should."
Erik and Ada walked back to to the house, Erik was still in shock he had asked her, he really asked her! She said yes to him, Erik opened the house door letting Ada in. "It was good to see the lair again." Ada sighed as Erik opened his bedroom door. He nodded still in a daze.
Erik sat on the end of his bed, his heart was racing he was getting married! He felt like he had been knocked in the head by a two by four when the realization come to him.
