"A baby!" Erik gasped still unable to comprehend the thought. "I think you have said that thirty times." Ada laughed closing the apartment door. "I know but I just can't believe it!"

"Are you excited?" Ada asked laying down on the bed.
"Am I? I can't contain it, we will move to the opera house as soon as I get it paid for this child will be surrounded by music and light everything I never had."

Ada was overjoyed at Erik's reaction to the child. He sat down on the bed next to her giving her a cup of tea. His face turned sloum as he removed the porcelain mask. "What if it comes out like me?"
Ada looked down and then back at him. "Angel, our child will be loved no matter what it's face looks like. People will learn to accept the child for who he is."

"What if I can't even give you a normal child."
Ada placed her hand on the twisted side of his cheek, "who cares about normal, our child will be beautiful, just as I see your beauty I see in you what people are too blind to see. Please understand Erik."

Erik smiled tangling himself up with her. "How can someone like me be loved by someone like you so perfect pure and innocent?" He asked running his lean fingers through her hair.
Ada soon fell asleep in his arms. Once Erik was sure she was asleep he slowly got up from bed and sat himself down at the small table in the corner of the room to write. He rummaged through his things finding no paper he grumbled and stood up. Erik grabbed his mask and hat and left the room.
He trotted down the stairs into the office where the owner of the of the apartments was reading.

"Madam?"
The woman looked up lighting up at the sight of Erik, "May I help you Mr. Y?" The woman asked outing down her book.
"Could you send out a letter?"
The woman nodded and handed him a paper and envelope.
"Thank you madam..."
"Hannah" she interrupted.
Erik nodded with a smile and began writing.

'Monsieur Fuente, and Denis

We have arrived and settled down in Manhattan. I am in the process of buying an opera house and it should open if all goes as planned by next fall.
The travel was safe and smooth, I am happy to announce that Ada is pregnant. I know she misses you we will write soon.

Erik'

Erik folded up the envelope and paid Hannah.
"Might I add Mr. Y that you are glowing." The old woman pointed out, Erik blushed slightly. And left tipping his hat.

"Where did you go?" Ada asked when Erik walked back into the room.
"I'm sorry, did I wake you?"Ada shook her head. "I thought I should send a note to your father and brother."

"Thank you, I've been meaning to do that."
"We will be moved into the opera house by the end of the week I'll pay for it tomorrow." Erik told her pulling out his cash box.

Ada laughed slightly.

"What?" Erik grinned.

"Well I think it's funny that you are paying your salary from the last opera house to pay for this one."

"Well this will end up better no chandler droppings." He laughed sitting at the table "we will be stretching our funds a bit to glammer up the opera house but we should be ok once performances start."

"Have I told you how proud I am of you?" Ada asked approaching him from behind and rubbing his shoulders.
