Denis creeped down the stairs. the house was silent, except for a faint snore that he recognized as Ada's in the parlor shaking his head he peeked in to see Ada tangled in Eric's arms. He hadn't seen her so happy with someone since there mother had died, her and her mother did everything together. Denis saw a glimpse of Eriks face he turned away at the sight. "Tell me the truth." His father insisted from behind him. "He's not who you all said he is." Denis bit his lip and looked down he moved to the next room signaling for his father to follow him.

"I trust Erik with my life." Denis sighed closing the kitchen door. "You three played me for a fool, he is the phantom of the opera a mad man who lived under the opera house for years! Denis..."
"No, all he has ever wanted was to be loved and live a normal life." Denis interrupted.
"He's a murder."
"He loves Ada and she loves him. If he is a ghost, a mad man, or a murder its only because the hatred of men had made him so."

--------------

Erik could hear the whole conversation as he lay in the parlor. He slid his arm out from under Ada's head she stirred but he hushed her back to sleep. Erik slipped on his mask as he walked into the kitchen, the father and son went silent. "I am sorry sir," Erik apologized "I should have been straight with you from the beginning." Denis raised an eyebrow he knew Erik wasn't one to apologize. "But I love your daughter," he continued "I was afraid that I would not be able to see her again if you knew."

The man softened, "I don't know why but I trust you. But if you hurt my little girl..."

Erik smiled and nodded, "Thank you sir."

"So an opera house?"
Erik lit up at the opportunity to talk about his music and dream, "Yes I have plans all laid out I've been working on it for years. I have one opera that I have been writing if I get it finished before the opera house I will show that first." He stated while boiling some water for tea.

"Goodmorning you three." Ada sighed walking into the room making her rounds giving each one a hug and a kiss. Ada ended with Erik who held her close to him. "What were you all talking about?" She asked a grin stretching across her rosy lips. "Just about the plans for the opera." Denis remarked pulling the screaming tea kettle off of the stove.

"Would you play for us? Denis tells me you are a genius on the piano." Her father asked. Erik glanced at Ada, "Would you accompany me?"

Ada nodded and ran to her room to grab her violin. Erik waited for her at the piano she came down the stairs with the instrument in her hand. Erik waited for her to get situated and began playing his fingers danced along the ivory keys. Ada listened for a moment and then joined in. They weren't playing any song in particular but they were in complete unison knowing just what the other would play, Erik started out soft and gentle like a warm spring day with the flowers beginning to bloom. Ada kicked him up a notch still peaceful, soon Erik bumped her up their hearts pounded as the two musical geniuses competed for who could play better. Denis' face was red from holding in his laughter at the two who were lost in there own world, now violently playing to see who the top musician was his fathers eyes were wide and his jaw dropped he had no idea of his daughter's talent.

Erik hit a sour note and quit playing breathless. Ada laughed and threw up her hands in victory, "I finally won!" She gasped spinning around. "Ha! Ha! Ha!" Erik's face was slightly red his expression Irritated as he stood up, "well my hands still hurt." He growled running his injord thumbs.

Ada rolled her eyes at him, "Excuses."
A knock sounded on the door disturbing Ada's bosting. "Oh my goodness I forgot!" Ada gasped putting down her violin, "Erik could you get the door? Christine and I were going to meet for breakfast and plan a wedding."

"YOU and WHO?" Erik snarled grabbing her arm, "Honestly Erik, if you're worried about Raoul you will be happy to know he is on a business trip overseas. And I knew you wouldnt go shopping and I would go crazy with my brother or father." Ada laughed pulling her arm from his grasp to go and change.

Erik looked towards Denis who was now laughing and Ada's father who was clueless, "I'd answer the door, or you will have to answer to the wrath of Ada." Denis chuckled.

Erik turned on a heal to the door cracking it open awkwardly, "Christine..." he sighed under his breath. "Umm... uh... Come in."
Erik was shocked at himself when Christine came through the door he was worried that he would feel the way he did that he would go back to that sinking obsession for her but he didnt, he knew he loved Ada. He had loved Christine at one point but he knew his heart and soul belonged to Ada and Christine could not change that.

"Your looking better than ever Erik, I am so happy for you."

"Thank you."

Ada and Christine left leaving Erik alone with Denis and his father.

------------------

"You have no idea how much I appreciate this" Ada sighed, "aside from Erik I don't really have friends."
"Well when Erik succeeds with his plan I have no doubt you'll have friends." Christine encouraged. "If they accept him." Ada sighed. "He will find a way to gain respect." Christine assured. "How about this one?"
Ada turned to look at the fabric option Christine was holding up. "Erik likes light green." Ada told her shifting through the fabric that the seamstress offered.
