viii. APOLOGY
lulu
hey
im really sorry about last time
i was a bit of a bitch
thank you for being here
i miss youLulu put her phone in her pocket and walked inside the school, definitely aware that some people were giving her some weird looks on her way to her locker.
Why the weird looks? Because she hadn't slept at all for a couple of days and therefore looked like shit. She had been able to cover it up with sunglasses when she was outside but it would have looked suspicious to keep them inside.
"Hey, Lulu!"
Lulu noticed Rue and Elliot a few feet away, recognizing her best friend's voice calling out for her. Rue grimaced at the sight of the girl, "Well, you look like you didn't sleep for days, the fuck."
"That's exactly what happened," Lulu snarked, "But, hey, thanks for the concern. Sup, Elliot."
"Hey, Lulu," he said with a concerned smile.
Lulu walked past them and rolled her eyes when she heard the stomping of Rue's sneakers trailing behind her, "W-What happened? I-I'm sorry, I had a lot to do—"
Lulu stopped in the middle of the hallway to glare at her, "I know when you lie to me, Rue. Now, I'm gonna get to class, I seriously don't wanna talk right now."
She walked away as her phone buzzed in her pocket.

aint gotta thinkBut Lulu followed his advice and didn't ditch a single class, even though she wasn't able to focus for longer than ten minutes each time, fighting the urge to drop her head on her desk and fall asleep.
When she arrived at the station, she was definitely surprised to see that her little sister was already there, chilling in the back with Ashtray.
"How was school?" Lulu asked.
Zahia shrugged, "Boring. Max kept trying to talk to me, I told her to go fuck herself."
Fezco, Ashtray and Lulu laughed as she lifted her thumb up, "That's my sis."
Finally, she made eye contact with Fezco and a feeling of insecurity invaded her, as she recalled how their last conversation had ended. It couldn't be called a fight but Lulu had definitely pushed Fezco away because she had felt judged and had tried to protect herself.
