   Sam's POV

I sat at the kitchen island eating lunch.  We had the next few days off from the studio, and I was looking forward to spending some down time at home.  Over the past week or so I started seeing less and less of Maeve.  We'd sometimes have a meal together or sit down to watch tv, but it seemed like she always avoided conversation.  I had also heard her leaving late at night on most nights.  I couldn't really say anything cause she was still getting all of her jobs done at the house, and really it wasn't my business but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious.  I heard the door open and Maeve sauntered in, coming back from her daily run. After petting the dogs she walked over to the refrigerator to get a bottle of water.  It was an exceptionally hot day today and she had opted for just a sports bra and shorts, when she'd normally wear a loose shirt.  She turned around to face me, and my eyes instantly noticed the outline of piercings through her bra.  I felt my cheeks blush as I looked down to my phone, hoping she hadn't caught me staring.  She finally took her headphones out and was making her way back to her room without saying a word.

"Maeve," I said from where I was sitting, she turned and walked back to the kitchen

"Whats up?"

"I'm taking the twins out for dinner and ice cream tonight so Jake and Sloan can have a date night, do you want to come? I'm sure they'd love to see you."

"Sure, that sounds fun." She shrugged "I'll just be hanging out in my room, let me know when you're ready to go."

"Will do." I replied.

When it got time for us to leave I went and knocked on Maeve's door.  She opened it and I was surprised to see her wearing a slate blue sundress.  I had never seen her in anything but jeans and shorts.  She still was very on brand due to her doc martens.

"Is-is this ok?  I know you said we were going out to dinner but wasn't sure what kind of place?"

"Thats fine, it looks great." I said as I turned and walked down the hall.  We both grabbed our things and headed out to the garage.

"You're lucky we will have passengers, otherwise you'd be riding bitch on my bike," She smirked over to me, I threw my head back and laughed,

"I don't think you'll ever get that to happen." I said as I started the car.

"You underestimate my persuasion skills," She said as we backed down the driveway.  When we got to Jake and Sloan's I honked the car horn.   Sloan walked out of the front door with a kid on each side holding her hands, "That is Jake's wife?" she said almost shocked.

"yes" I laughed

"How did he pull her, she is beautiful." she said

"I pulled her too at some point, very briefly." I said as I put my hand on the back of my neck, she looked over at me and raised her brows

"Oh, you HAVE to tell me about that later." she giggled.  I just rolled my eyes, I probably shouldn't have said anything.  Sloan opened the back door and the kids slid into their seats.

"Maeve! I broke my arm!" River yelled as she stood on the backseat, shoving her cast over the center console nearly hitting me in the face,

"I heard! that must have been so scary!" Maeve said with a faux shocked face to appease River.

"I wasn't scared," River said as she turned her nose up in the air.

"I'm sure you were very brave.  Hi Reed," Maeve said as she turned and waved.  Reed returned the wave and then turned to look out of the window.  Sloan came over to my window and I rolled it down,
