you buckled up the baby in his carseat before staring back at the house in front of you. it was beautiful on the outside, but on the inside it was empty, dark.

you shut the back door and got in the driver seat. you had to leave, give him something better. something "normal," a life away from the chaos.

you didn't know where you were going, but soon you were out of Gotham's city limits. you didn't want to stop yet, not until you were on the edge of state line.

it was the paranoia that made you not stop. the way you knew he would look for you as soon as he noticed you snd the baby gone. then he'd call. after that it became a witch hunt and he'd track you with your necklace.

you looked down at the necklace, then back at the baby in the back. you took it off the dropped it out the window.

a year past and you were long gone out of Gotham and it's chaos. you got a house in a stable neighborhood, your two year old was turning three and running around destroying things.

you put your party supplies in the backseat before pulling out your keys and unlocking your car door getting into the car. you picked up your phone messaging back your babysitter.

you noticed a car in front of your house as you pulled into your driveway. his car. you quickly got out the car and ran inside. the babysitter sat on the couch visibly scared.

she pointed towards your room where the door was cracked. you asked shakily "my baby?" she whispered "outside completely oblivious.

you walked towards your room opening and shutting the door. he stood in front of the dresser looking at photos of his kid.

"you thought you could take my kid and skip town?"

"i can't take whats also mine, and you barely acknowledge us in the first place j"

he looked at you and walked closer "let's get this straight, his fucking mine and your fucking mine and it'll be a real fucking same if something was to happen to that little "boyfriend" of yours"

your mouth gaped as his face was full of amusement. he caressed your bottom lip with a grin on his face "what's wrong baby? i thought what you wanted was daddy's attention"

he grabbed you by your hair and pulled you to his chest. "we can keep the little nanny and after this little party you can say goodbye to your housewife bitches"
