SIXTY-FIVE. GF-FORHIRE
━━━━┅━━━┅━━━━
mini time-skip: three months later
"hakuou wins the inter-middle with basketball prodigy ymari seinaru as the-"
"turn it off." the girl grumbled to her aunt as she plopped down onto the couch at half-past six in the evening.
she just got home after a long game for the finals. the girl was subbed out during the first quarter because the coach was worried she'd run out of steam- she didn't protest and let them lose for ten minutes. on the fourth quarter, she scored 36 points with just threes.
"alright, geez." utsui flicked to an anime channel.
"y'know for someone who just won a special award, you sure ain't acting special." kenji quipped from the counter, picking some strawberries off the tray he just took from the fridge.
she looked at the medal she just threw on the rug when she entered the living room.
hakuou won versus shiratorizawa academy. the score was 121 - 109.
69 of those points were scored by her alone, from the approximate twenty six minutes she was in the game with her monster threes.
most valuable player.
the girl sighed to herself.
during the game, kenji was at the sidelines with the rest of their small friend group who she hasn't had an interaction with for at least three months due to her busy schedule, while utsui was obviously on the court with her.
the twins went home with her and invited themselves for a sleepover since their win. worst part of it all was that sana, who picked them up from the stadium, actually agreed and apparently already talked to their parents over the phone to settle the things for the night over.
"there it is with that sigh again." utsui rolled her eyes as she watched hunter x hunter on television. "the hell's wrong with you?"
seinaru clicked her tongue. "bakago-chin didn't want to pass the ball to me at half-time."
"you mean tachibana?" kenji asked, chewing on a strawberry. "third-year-shooting-guard-you-replaced tachibana?"
"bingo." seinaru pointed at him.
he threw a strawberry from his position in the kitchen and the girl caught it in her mouth.
"you can't blame her. she had to play point guard when you were subbed in and she's obviously complete shit at it." utsui shrugged.
she played small forward and wasn't subbed out once, which made her significantly tired, but she didn't feel it yet.
"she didn't have to take out her anger during the game though." kenji pointed out.
