Stages of reading-

Buying a book

Either because you're attracted to the cover or you heard someone talk good  things about it and curiosity killed the cat

Starting the chapter with a hightlighter in your hand

That acts like a personal photograph of your favorite moments--even tho you're not in any of them

Evaluating every characters personality and finding the most relatable one

Just to not feel totally alone and find comfort that someone--fictional but a person understands what you're going through

Pretending you're that character just to make anything out of your 9 - 5 life

And feel the emotions they're trying to convey

The 'relatable' character meeting someone they find attractive

Someone-- that loved them through everything, cared for them.

You're not the one they're falling for but you just want to imagine they are

Falling in love with them was something you'd always predicted but the feeling you get--

when you're the only one reading they're thoughts, highlighting every moment of they're life

knowing them better than anyone else could

Now if you're lucky enough the author might not kill your special person off and they'll have a happy ending with their partner-- and if that doesn't happen just grab a box of tissues, darling

Now you're journey is over...

you pretended to be the 'relatable' one

But that came to an end

the temporary feeling lasts forever

And now you close the book

you have done possibly everything you could do just to not end this adventure

not yet...

And the final step..and the most important one..

You're not a part of they're adventure,

you'll never be but you still captured their life's most amazing moments you laughed with them,

you cried, you cringed

It's like having a best friend that doesn't know you exist

or they don't exist..

And now comes the reality, going back to whatever you were doing and stop hiding from responsibilities

Or...

You could just start another book...

Another adventure...

Another life captures...

Another journey...

It's never over a reader...

Never
