She told the moon about her day
The moon whispered back
That they were meant to be till the sun came

---

Every night she talked to the moon

Not just about her

But the heart she had loaned

The moon listened to her patiently

Knowing that they were meant to be

Her smile was radiant as she talked- talked and talked

The moon never said anything

She didn't care about that too much

She looked up every night

To find comfort in something

That belonged in the stars

She never complained about the distance

Because the moon heard it all
