As Allen sat down for class, what Adam told him yesterday was in his head: to look out for what is coming Monday. So far however, nothing has happened. At least, until now.
"Alright you all, feel glad because there's no class for today," Ms. Florence suddenly announced, actually standing up at the podium in the front of the room.
"Wait, no class?," Thomas had quickly turned his head towards her and enthusiastically asked.
"All five of you will need to follow me outside the classroom," she explained, ignoring Thomas' question.
Allen, Thomas and Cecily all looked at each other, wondering what could be happening.
The three of them, including the other two F ranks behind them, all followed Ms. Florence outside of the room, and down the hallway to wherever they could be going.
This might be to what Adam was talking about before, Allen thought. Could this also be in relation to why our club meetings have been temporarily suspended?
"Where do you think we are going?," Thomas asked.
"I'm not sure, your guess is as good as mine," Cecily responded.
"Guess we'll just have to wait and see," Allen suggested. They both agreed, but you could tell Thomas' curiosity was getting to him.
Allen had looked behind him for a moment to look at the two other F ranked students in their class following them.
The 2nd year boy seemed to be off in his own world, looking at the walls instead of looking straight ahead. You'd think he might run into something if he wasn't paying attention.
The first year girl, who always wore a hood and somehow got away with it, seemed to be once again staring at Allen. At this point in time Allen wanted to ask her what she wanted, but he felt like it's best if he left it be.
They had walked down the hallway for what seemed like minutes, until they arrived outside a classroom. As Allen suspected, it was a first year, rank D classroom.
Ms. Florence opened the door, and didn't even bother holding it open for all the students. The five of them shuffled into a classroom a little larger than their own, but with a full class of students.
Near the front of the classroom, Allen noticed Adam, Sybil and Oliver. Adam had noticed them, giving them a smile and a quick wave.
The rest of the class looked in odd interest at the sudden entrance of F ranked students. It was almost as if they had no clue that this would be happening today. Perhaps Adam was the only one who got a tip?
Their teacher, Mr. Lyon, seemed to be waiting impatiently, in the front behind the podium. He saw them come in and acknowledged them with a nod.
"Mr. Lyon," Ms. Florence greeted him respectfully. Her face said she obviously didn't care she saw him, but went out of her way to be respectful, which surprised Allen. Perhaps their teacher had some respect in her?
"Ms. Florence, glad to make your acquaintance," he gave her a nod.
"You five," she turned towards them. "Stay here until further notice"
And just as they were about to acknowledge her, she swiftly left without another word.
"Alright then," Mr. Lyon spoke up after clearing his throat. "You five can go take some empty seats near the back of the room"
He pointed towards the back of the room, which conveniently had exactly five seats near the wall. Luckily it wasn't too far from the front of the room, as the room wasn't that large.
