"So that guy you were with is your best friend not your boyfriend?"
"Yup."
"And the both of you have never been involved in any intimate-slash-sexual activities?"
"Never ever."
"And you plan to leave the relationship at that stage and nothing more?"
"Totally." Okay maybe not totally but a girl can dream right?
I was answering Seth questions already. Damn bitch. Why did people assume we were together? I swear I've friendzoned Seth at least a million times, if not a billion. My cabin girls sounded really cool - at least for as long as we'd been talking. They were Lexi, Emma, Heather, Sydney, Kat and me. Heather was the only one who didn't live in California out of all of us.
"You know the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the two of you?" Kat asked.
"This would be good to hear." I smirked.
"I couldn't believe how unfair God was being to kids like me out there. I mean you guys look smokin'!" She added after a beat, "With a capital S-M-O-K."
All this Seth talk was making me bored and queasy. They all started screaming. Ew.
"Stop talking about my hot best friend guys." I whined.
"Do you think you could hook me up with him?" Heather was wiggling her eyebrows at me.
"He's a total man-whore but he's anti-women now." I giggled just remembering Seth's declaration.
"Oh my God, is he gay?" Emma and Lexi screeched in unison.
The fuck? Seth? Gay? I started laughing just looking at their horrified faces.
"No, he just wants a serious relationship." I glanced at my phone, "We should probably go for dinner now." I said and we left our cabin for the cafeteria.
The cafeteria was quite full by the time we got in and Summer by Calvin Harris was playing out loud. Apparently there was going to be a welcome party later on tonight which I had to attend. Seth was the one organizing it and had texted me the details.
"Anyone hungry?" Lexi asked. We all shook our heads and we dispersed into the crowd in the cafeteria. I found a chair quickly and brought out my phone to text my best friend about his fans when someone pulled up a chair beside me and sat down.
"Looks like you're in love with the color red huh?" he asked.
"Not really. I'm more of blue." I replied not looking away from my phone in order to send my text to Seth.
"The red bra earlier told a whole other story. The red hair also doesn't help matters." he countered feeling proud of himself.
Who the hell was this guy?
"It says bold and daring y'know?" he made hand gestures emphasizing on the 'bold' and 'daring'.
"It means you were staring at my boobs." I replied emphasizing on 'staring' and 'my boobs' as I made hand gestures like he did which made him laugh.
"I'm Caleb Edgars." he extended his hand to shake me. He was the hot blondie I saw earlier. Still got nothing on Seth though.
"Riley Cormack.' I shook his hand. 'So where you from?' I inquired
"North Carolina but I've been living in California since I was seven. I live in Berkeley." A beat. "And I just graduated high school. I start in spring."
"Nice. High school senior in the fall. Can't wait." I said excitedly then paused. "Hold that thought. I can." I wryly smiled.
Caleb was the guy with the all-American boy looks - beach blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes with the perfect set of white teeth. He had a little tan and a little stubble which made him very good to look at.
