I didn't know it was possible to ogle at someone in their sleep till I met Riley. Whenever we slept over at each other's, I woke up earlier than she did just to look at her sleep. Sometimes she caught me and laughed at me and stared right back and others I wouldn't let her catch me. Your best friend shouldn't be looking at you every single damn morning you guys wake up together... that's borderline creepy. But that was Seth Winters, head over heels in love with a girl he had always known.

Everyone told me to tell her. Or at least bang her. But I couldn't bring himself to do the second. Ever. When – scratch that – IF Riley and I ever got together, I'd want it to be the most passionate love-making experience ever. I wanted to leave an imprint on her forever, maybe that way IF we dated and by some stroke of bad luck broke up, she would never forget me. I wouldn't even let her break up with me in the first place. I know what I want but I'm too pussy to actually get it. I couldn't tell her because I didn't want the awkward tension after everything. Just too fucking hard, you wuss.

I felt her stir beside me and then those green green orbs opened and then I knew I'd been caught in the act. But it didn't seem like she minded. And so, she looked right back and it was then that I wondered, Riley Cormack what are you thinking? I fought the urge to look at her mouth. That was sin. Unforgivable, unforgettable sin. I wanted to touch her. Wanted her to be mine. Just keep her to myself and get that Edgars fuck away from her. I'd shower her everyday if she were mine. Just the thought of her smile made me content. Fuck, I was done for.

Then I think God heard me and she reached out and touched my face, tracing lines around the edges before moving it to my hair, running her hands through and God, did it feel amazing. I closed my eyes just so I could enjoy it while it lasted. Then she picked up my hand and intertwined our fingers and brought them up and closed her eyes, her grip still firm as her breathing steadied.

And then like the weird as fuck hottie I am, I continued looking at her just because I could.

I had French in the morning before my morning sport, tennis. Riley and I agreed that we should at least have a class together. It wasn't really great that when I woke up the second time, Riley was gone. She then texted me a few minutes later telling me that she was with Caleb. Ugh. I will never ever name my own child Caleb.

"Seth." I turned to see Skye coming in my direction.

"Miss me already?" I nudged her.

"You're full of shit. Anyway, didn't see you last night. Where'd you go?"

Damn, should've thought that at least one person would ask about our well-being, or mine.

"If I told you where we went, promise me you won't tell anyone."

"I promise."

I took a deep breath and relayed how I took her to my parents' house right across the lake and how we spent the night and all.

"Wow, you really know how to win a girl over Seth."

I smiled sheepishly, "I try."

"What class do you have now?" she asked.

"French." I said nodding in the direction of my class

"How could I forget? The guy with the boner!"

I groaned.

"It isn't anything to be ashamed of. I'm sure if I was straight, I'd be ogling." She winked at me.

Wait, Skye isn't straight? Huh. Figures.

"Didn't know you swung the other way."

"You didn't ask."
