Breathe in...
Breathe out...
Ericka was focusing on her breathing to keep her anxiety from encapsulating her while Drac had taken notice of something around his neck. It was a sleek metal collar with a little light bulb embedded in it, glowing red. He tugged on it but of course nothing happened. He tussled with it slightly until he heard someone approaching the door to the cell room. It sounded like multiple people as the door was loudly unlocked.
"Just give me the key!" Someone grouchily snapped, opening the door themselves. Abraham swung the door open with a few Stanleys standing guard outside of the room. Ericka heard the commotion as well, opening her eyes and leaning closer to the glass to see what was going on.
"Ah! You're both awake!" Abraham rolled into the room and into the little hallway in between their cells; Ericka immediately snapped.
"I KNEW YOU WERE BEHIND THIS!! I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE IT!! YOU PATHETIC MOTHER FUCKING SON OF A-"
She pounded on the glass and screamed at him, her movements limited, yet he didn't even bat an eye. She had to eventually stop to catch her breath, giving him a chance to speak.
"Wow...I feel so loved," He grumbled, looking her in the eyes, "I suggest if you don't want to induce yourself, you should calm the fuck down." As he reached for something in a compartment in his back.
She glanced over at Drac and saw him looking back at her, conflicted, yet he still said, "...H-He has a point, sweetheart."
She clenched her fists and glared at him, but sighed and looked at the ground, "...Fine...just...answer this for me."
Abraham lifted a brow, "go on."
"...H-How long was I unconscious?"
"Hm...Well," Abraham started to explain while a Stanley walked in to hand him a coffee before walking back out, "it's been about twenty six days, although it was planned for you to wake up tomorrow, you seemingly fought the medication somehow."
"You MEDICATED ME?"
"Well yes, how else was I supposed to keep you healthy? If you didn't notice your arms at this point, I had you on constant IVs, oxygen, and medications. Along with twenty four hour monitoring to make sure nothing was wrong." He sipped his coffee.
"...For once it actually sounds like you care about me because I have something you want."
"I raised you, of course I cared about you," He looked over at Drac who was messing with the collar once more, "but this goes against everything we stand for."
"No it doesn't! We never stood for anything. All we did was inflict fear and agony into innocent monster minds because you wanted to feel loved!"
"ENOUGH!"
She flinched back a little, her shocked face turning into a scowl as Drac glanced up from his tinkering. You do NOT get to tell me what to DO anymore... She wanted to scream at Abraham for everything that he had done to her, and all the innocent victims that had fallen into his clutches during his pursuit of fame and fortune, but knew she couldn't risk it.
He cleared his throat and grabbed a small remote out of a container on his back. He scanned the buttons and pressed one, a small section of the ceiling above him sliding to the side, allowing a small tv screen to descend down from it. He clicked another button and the screen buzzed on, at first just saying 'No Signal' until it connected to what looked like a screen share from a computer. There were two digital timers, each being labeled either 'Labor' or 'Birth'. They were already counting down which made Ericka break down into a cold sweat, seeing how close they were.
"Now," He looked back at them, "for now, you will stay here until that timer," he pointed at the one labeled 'Birth', "hits two hours. Once it does, you'll be moved to another containment area for a more comfortable experience as I know it won't be the most pleasant."
"W...Will-" She was about to ask a question when he abruptly cut her off,
"Well that's all I had to say. I'll be back later. Goodbye." He spun around and headed for the door as Ericka yelled after him.
"HEY! WAIT A SECOND-"
But he had already left the room and it was locked behind him, making her groan. She looked back up at the timers, seeing the one labeled 'Labor' was already down to an hour and fifty five minutes, in which she looked over at Drac with a pouty lip.
"Awww honey... I'm sure that's not accurate, he's just using it to scare you."
At that moment a Stanley popped in, "Actually it is one hundred percent accurate! And if something happens the timers will automatically shift forwards or backwards depending on the situation!" Then he zipped back out, leaving Ericka as pale as a ghost, before sniffling and breaking down sobbing.
"I-I-I'M NOT R-READY!!" She bawled, fanning her face with her hands while trying to wipe her rivers of tears.
"Ericka..." He rested his hands against the glass and she looked over at him, her vision still obstructed by her crying, "you are one of the strongest, sweetest, most amazing women I have ever met. And if anyone on this planet can do this, you can."
"Y...You really t-think s-so?"
" I know so."
