As the twins entered freshman year, Venus was already a senior and was about to graduate, her planning on taking a full time job at the hotel until she could find something to do with her life like go to college and such. Mars took more special Ed classes due to his condition so he never really saw Saturn around, occasionally on the field and in the commons but he was always hanging around other people who Mars didn't like the look of. He went up to him once but Saturn seemed embarrassed of him, and tried to tell him to go away nicely, but Mars didn't leave, using his small device to talk with them, still trying to learn to talk by himself.
Saturn lost his temper and told Mars to piss off, shoving him away and making him fall to the floor, telling him to stay away from his friends before walking off with them. Saturn had never outright attacked Mars like that before, so he didn't understand why.
Of course Mars didn't tell anyone about what happened, thinking that nobody would really care anyway. Saturn acted like it never happened back at home, but Mars didn't really pick up.
Although he never said it aloud, Saturn had always felt pushed aside by his family. Since Mars needed all the special attention due to his disability, leaving Saturn out in the cold. His parents loved him of course, but they couldn't always express it. Saturn tried to do whatever he could to try and get them to pay attention to him, but for the most part Mars always overshadowed him. Everything he did was to just try to make his parents proud of him, but he never got validation for what he did. Although he was bigger and stronger than Mars, it seems like It didn't even matter. When Mars tried to talk to his friends, he didn't want him to take away the last people who actually showed appreciation and validation for him.
It had been happening his entire life since the moment he was born, and he was sick of it.
One night, things just seemed calm as normal, Mars was relaxing in the family living room and Saturn was in the kitchen, contemplating everything that had been happening. Drac and Ericka were out on a date night so he knew this was his chance.
He sat next to him and didn't say anything at first, soon sparking up a passive aggressive conversation which Mars didn't pick up on his tone. Mars started talking back with his device, but his mouth moved with the audio slightly, like he was learning. Saturn started letting his pent up anger flow out, becoming more aggressive with his words and movements before he was basically crouching over Mars, pinning him to the couch and digging his claws into his skin, letting everything out.
Venus heard their tussle from her room and came out to see what was going on, hearing Saturn screaming at Mars that he was a mistake and was never meant to exist, that he was broken and worthless.
Venus stuttered to Interrupt, making Saturn roar at her what the hell she wanted. She didn't know how to say it, but she murmured out that he was actually the mistake. Saturn didn't believe her and told her to shut up. She said it was true and he was never supposed to exist. Hearing the words being said back to him, made him shatter. He pounced on her and knocked the wind out of her, but he didn't injure her further. He stormed into his room and slammed the door, making it bounce back open slightly. He made a wreck of his room, clawing the walls and smashing everything in his fit of rage. He emptied his school backpack and shoved some clothes into it. He grabbed his phone and ear buds before leaping out of the window, landing on the ground and walking off into the woods.
Mars helped Venus off of the floor and she asked if he was okay. Mars was confused on why Saturn seemed so mad. She said it would be best if they let him calm down for a bit. She made sure Mars didn't get hurt physically before leaving him alone and going back to her room. He peeked into Saturn's room and saw that he had left out the window, his room completely trashed. He left his iPad in his room and jumped out of the window after him, but fucked up the jump and landed on his face. He was alright, he stood up and brushed himself off before following Saturn.
