Peter was starting to get worried. He was pretty sure the flight you were on landed half an hour ago. But he had not seen you get off it.
He asked if there had been any delays, but they said no.
You weren't picking up your phone, it kept going straight to voicemail.
Peter got very worried.
He called Bucky.
"Bucky?"
"Peter. Is y/n with you yet?"
"Yeah about that. She's not here. I swear the plane she was on landed ages ago, but I haven't seen her. You watched her get on it right?"
"No."
"No?"
"She left me at the gate. And then I left."
"What if she never got on the plane?"
"She wouldn't do that."
"This is y/n we're talking about."
"Crap!"
"What should we do?"
"Ok come back here. We have more chance of finding her together."
"Ok. I'll be there tomorrow."
"Aren't you at the airport right now?"
"I should... no you're right I'll come now."
"Ok. I'll pick you up."
Bucky hung up the phone.
"Who was that?" Sharon asked.
"Peter. Y/n didn't get on the plane."
"Course she didn't."
"Now is not the time."
"Did it occur to you that maybe she missed the plane and just got a later one? Or that she just didn't notice Peter at the airport? Maybe you're overreacting?"
"She wouldn't have missed it, she was at least half an hour early, she knew Peter was at the other end so she would've looked out for him. I'm not overreacting, because last time I lost her, she was missing for almost six years!" Bucky snapped.
"Okay. I'm sorry" Sharon said half-heartedly. She was secretly just disappointed that Bucky was about to return 100% of his attention back to you.
Bucky got up to pack a bag full with guns, bullets and snacks. He didn't know how long it was going to take.
As he did so, his phone buzzed next to Sharon on the couch.
She picked it up and glanced at the message. It was from an unsaved number, so she didn't bother to properly read what it said.
A short while later, Bucky was nearly out the door and Sharon was kissing him goodbye.
"I'll miss you."
"You too. Oh wait I need my phone."
He spotted it on the arm of the sofa and went to grab it.
There was a notification from an unknown number. He opened his phone to the messages app, but before he could read it, it disappeared.
"What the hell?"
"What's wrong?" Sharon asked.
"I got a message, but it just disappeared."
"That means the sender deleted it."
Bucky stared at the empty screen.
"I'm sure it's fine" Sharon assured him.
"What if it was y/n?"
"There's nothing you can do about it now. It's gone."
"Fine. I'll see you when I get back."
Bucky kissed Sharon on the forehead and walked out the door.
He headed to Sam's and they drove to the airport together.
When they got there, they saw Peter already outside waiting.
"Hey kid" Sam said.
"Hi Sam, hi Bucky" Peter replied.
"Still no word from her?" Bucky asked.
"No, you?"
"Nope."
"So do either of you have a plan?" Sam asked.
"We could look at the security camera footage? In the airport?" Peter suggested.
Bucky started walking into the airport.
"Bucky wait" Sam called "they're not just going to let three random people walk in and watch the security tapes."
"I may have a solution!" Peter exclaimed and ran off.
Bucky and Sam exchanged confused glances, until Spiderman swung around the corner a minute later.
"Come on let's go" Peter gestured for the others to follow.
They walked into the airport, and people instantly started pointing and staring.
Bucky and Sam pulled baseball caps down over their eyes and followed loosely behind him.
"Hey man" Peter deepened his voice talking to a security guard.
"Oh my god. You're the Spider man!"
"Yeah hi. I need to see your security camera footage. I'm looking for a uh- dangerous criminal."
"Yes of course. Follow me."
They followed him through a locked door and into a room full of TV screens.
He left, giving them some privacy.
Peter took off his mask.
"Ok. Let's find y/n. What time did you get to the airport Bucky?" he asked as he bent down in front of a computer screen.
"Like 10am."
"That was before she called me" Peter stated.
He typed some things into a computer, and pulled up some footage. Y/n was on the screen, holding Bucky's hand by the entrance.
"Yeah there she is. Follow her" Bucky said.
Peter clicked the keyboard and the camera kept switching as you walked through the airport.
They watched intently as you and Bucky spoke to each other, and as you ran off.
"What did she say to you?" Peter asked.
"Doesn't matter" Bucky replied as he watched her turn back after he left.
Peter continued clicking, following you on the screen until you got on the plane.
"There. She boarded."
"Ok wait there" Sam told him.
They watched everyone else board the plane. A few minutes later, they watched you get off with two men following you.
Peter paused the footage and zoomed in on a gun held behind your back.
"How did no one notice that?!" Sam wondered.
"Cause people are stupid" Bucky stated.
Peter unpaused it and followed them through the airport. You were joined by two more men in suits, and the four escorted you outside.
Peter clicked again but couldn't find footage for outside the airport.
"Come on kid! Where is she?" Bucky demanded.
"I don't know give me a minute!" Peter yelled back at him "yes!" He cried as he found the footage for outside. They watched as you were forced into a limousine and the door shut behind you. The limo drove off.
"Wow. That's a fancy ride for a criminal" Peter remarked, clueless.
Meanwhile, Bucky and Sam were staring at each other.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Sam asked.
"I'm going to kill that bitch!" Bucky stormed out.
He went back to his car, but didn't know where to go. He sat at the wheel and screamed in frustration.
