I woke up in the same cold room I was left in before, this time empty with no nurses. I saw outside the window, my ma crying into my papa's arms.
"Hi y/n" my little sister crawled down the chair she was sitting on, rushing towards the door
"I was told to tell if you woke up." She left out the door. The soundproof window didn't stop me from mouth reading their conversation. I've been practicing mouth reading ever since I can remember. When you have see through vision without the hearing part, it's a big help to watch what people are saying, when you're as nosy as I am.
My mother stopped crying and the three of them rushed into my room, my dad yelling for a nurse to come down the hall.
"My baby! Are you okay? Are you hurt? How do you feel, corazón?" My mother gave me worried look as she ran over to my bedside.
I gave her a comforting weak smile "I'm okay, mami, thanks"
"Oh thank goodness." She smiled relieved at my tired face.
"There's something we have to tell you, mi hija." She grabbed my hand and started softly rubbing it.
I was getting worried by the sudden change on her face.
"We're moving to another town until you get better. There is another magical family far away from here and this nice man told me that one of them have the power to heal any wound. We're moving as fast as we can, because these nurses aren't sure they can save you just yet. But if another miracle is out there, we have to try."
My smile faded.
"But, then when I'm healed, we come back here, right? I can't just leave my friends, ma. I love this town."
"I know querida, but it's for the better. Actually your pa and I have been thinking of moving for some time now..."
I frowned in disbelief. How can she be so selfish? I know they were doing it for me, but I couldn't just leave friends, my home.
" papa said we get to live in a castle!" Julia jumped up and down in excitement. She didn't get a thing. Nobody understood me. Why couldn't they see I was unhappy with moving away?
"See this as an opportunity, querida. You get to start a new chapter in your life. You should be exited." She tried.
"But-" mom stopped rubbing my hand and just slightly squeezed it.
"No, y/n. No discussion, we're moving wether you like it or not."
I sighed in defeat. There was nothing I could do.
"Now we go home and pack our things, yes?"
"Yes, mami." I took her words. See this as an opportunity. I tried to keep my head high about it and wrote a goodbye letter to both of my friends before packing my things.
