"Come on, Camilo, it don't bite." Bruno held a little grey rat out in his hands, to show Camilo, who was clearly disgusted by the little fella releasing a tiny squeak.
"UEEEEEEEEEE" Camilo jumped up into Luisa's arms, absolutely terrified by the 4 inch-tall creature. "YES IT DOES" he whined, it almost looked like tears began to form in his eyes. He tightened his grip on the confused Luisa.
"If you think this is an overreaction, you should've seen him, the first time Antonio pulled out Carlos." Luisa slightly chuckled at the thought.
"Who is Carlo-?" Camilo interrupted, "the most frightening, disgusting, traumatizing creature to ever walk this planet. I still get nightmares..." Camilo pouted.
Bruno gave a confused look at Luisa, "Noble False Widow spider" she answered simply. He slowly nodded in understandment.
"Camilo, get down from Luisa and help with the dinner table" Alma rushed. She was clearly stressed about Julieta inviting my parents at the very last minute.
"But- the rat..." he gritted his teeth, pointing at Bruno's little friend, crawling up on his shoulder.
"I don't want to hear your excuses, Camilo, get working!" She looked at him with anger, even though she didn't mean it like that. Camilo crawled down from Luisa's grip and walked over to me, reading in the corner.

"You're a pussy." I smirked, eyes buried behind the book. I could feel his stare of disbelief, dramatically folding his arms out, like I had told him the cruelest insult with no emotion.
"I thought only Dolores stalked people's conversations." He folded his arms, while I put my book down.
"It's not stalking, if the person is screaming, like his only goal in the world was to give me a headache" I raised a brow at him. He scoffed in disbelief.
"Wha- I am not a loud person." He scowled, making me giggle a bit.
"I AM NOT!" He yelled, realizing the irony the second he said it. I raised my brows, while tilting my head forward, to add a little fuel to the fire.
"Ugh. Whatever." He rolled his eyes at me, "what are you reading, anyway, you seem so interested in that book." He pointed at the little printed work in my lap.
"It's about this boy, named Julian, who falls in love with the new towns-girl, Valeria. He tries to do everything for her, to see his love for her, but she's blind and goes for this buff guy, FeLipE" I rolled my eyes at the guy, who was ruining the perfect relationship between the two main characters. "-and it ends with Valeria, realizing that Felipe was cheating on her, when they dated and then Julian confessed to her with a white rose, symbolizing the purity of their love and they kiss while sitting on the rooftop and it's super romantic" I sighed in deep thought about the happy ending.
"Wait, how do you know how it ends?" He squinted his eyes at me, not fully believing in what I was saying.
"Because this is my third time reading it." I confessed. Camilo's jaw dropped at that.
"THREE TIMES? I WOULDN'T HAVE THE CONCENTRATION FOR ONE BOOK AND YOU READ THIS THREE TIMES?!" He gave me a disturbed look.
"...yes.." I suddenly felt a bit dumb.
"It's a good book, I mean it gets me every time with all the emotions and shit. I bet you 10 pesos right now, that if you read this book, you'll have just as many mood swings as I had the first time reading it." I challenged him.
"HA, easy money. Bet" we shook on it and I handed him my book.
"CAMILO!" Alma screamed across the casa.
"Happy reading." I sang before he ran out to help with the table, like he was told to.
"He's going to be broken after that book" I smiled to myself.
