"she's awake!" My dad ran out of the room, as I slowly came to my senses. I looked around. I didn't recognize this place. I was stranded in an unfamiliar room, filled with colors and drawings of models with dresses on the walls. A little sewing machine took place on top of a desk in front of the bed's end. Where am I?
I lifted my hand to my forehead, as I felt an extreme headache coming at me. My vision blurred, probably from having such low iron while sitting up fast.
I saw a chair to my left. On top of it, was put a bowl of Aijaco (soup) and next to it, a glass of water and a couple of pills.
I assumed it was for me, and swallowed the pills with the water.
Suddenly, the door opened, a girl with round green glasses and a dress with lots of stitchings on it broke into the room, "Oh, sorry I thought you were still asleep." She closed the door behind her. " I just needed this," She reached for the cute bag with homemade stitching on it, matching her dress.
"I'm Mirabel by the way." She gave me a toothy grin and reached me her hand.
"Uhm, Y/n. Is this your room?" I took her hand and shook it weakly, my arm cramping a bit.
"Yep. Pretty small, but at least the bed is comfortable, right?" She swung her bag up on her shoulder and sat on the side of her bed. It felt so weird sitting in this strangers bed. What was going on?
"Yea... uhm can you tell where I am? I'm a bit lost." I carefully asked.
"RIGHT OF COURSE, sorry I forgot. Basically, in a nutshell my family is magical and you got sliced like a pizza by a bear, so my mom, Julieta's got these magical powers to heal you and that's why you're here. In our casita. In my room. Kinda weird doncha think?" She leaned on her arm, looking at my tired figure.
"Uhm sure." I slowly took everything in.
"So, where are my parents?" I asked
"I'll go get them for you, stay here. Not that you can do anything else" she laughed with a snort and skipped out the door. What a strange girl.
I blew on the soup, before taking a spoonful into my mouth.

I felt a kind of deja vu, as my worried mother stormed into the room, with my pa and sister behind her.
"Are you feeling okay? How are you? Did the food work?" She looked at me with big eyes.
"What food?" I was confused
"The magic food, of course." My Ma pointed at the Aijaco next to us.
"Oh. I don't know" my mother lifted my shirt, and took of the bandage, leaving us both shook as we watched my wound slowly tape back together.
I felt sick, by watching my own stomach like that, all of a sudden an urge to throw up hit me.
"Bucket." I reached after the puke bucket behind my ma. She quickly handed me it, holding my hair with one hand and the bucket with the other, as I let it all out into the water at the bottom of the bucket.
"Eww" Julia exclaimed and ran away in disgust. My Pa entered, now with a stranger behind him. My headache grew bigger, partly because of the puke, partly because of all the new people and things happening so fast. I felt sort of overwhelmed by how quick things happened.
The lady behind my dad, wore a blue apron on top of her blue dress. Her curly black hair was swept up in a bun and she entered with a worried look on her face.
"How are you feeling, niña?" My pa stood next to my mom.
"Shitty." I answered with no emotion. I was too tired to keep a filter anymore.
The lady stepped up next to my parents. "How was the soup?" She smiled warmly at me
"Good." I fought to keep my eyes open. I was so tired.
"I think you need some rest, corazón." My dad stated. My mom nodded in agreement and they left me to fall back to sleep.
